Some of the players/staff that stayed home obviously lived though.I can't wait for this movie. I'm gonna love seeing my old hometown on the big screen. My dad still lives there and tried to get a spot as an extra. He was a student at Marshall back during the time of the crash.I was up there for a bit during the filming. It was cool how they transformed the city, actually felt like going back in time. Tons of people came out to watch the filming, it's a big part of the local community and almost everyone has a story to tell about it as all of those in the area felt connected to the tragic event.ESPN did a special about it a few years ago called "From Ashes to Glory". The storyline was just heartwrenching and the acting was terriffic. The emotion was portrayed terriffically and you could almost feel what they were all going through. The GF started the waterworks less than 15 minutes into it, and I gotta admit there were some scenes there that kinda made me choke up a lil bit. Plus, im a sucker for sports movies that arent really about sports, but have a deeper underlying meaning. A+ from me, and I recommend it to everyone. Critics ware morons for bashing this one. I'm going to research the facts a little more to see where the movie was "hollywooded" a bit though. I won't comment much more because it seems like not too many people saw it yet.
