A patron tried to help, and was cut in the face. All four suspects have been caught.Man stabbed at downtown barJan 7, 2007 06:26 PM ESTIndianapolis- A Kansas City man is in the Marion County jail after a fight and stabbing in a downtown bar.It happened inside a very crowded Have a Nice Day Café about four hours after the Colts-Chiefs game. One witness told police he saw one man hit another man in the face with a broken beer bottle, then stabbed him in the arm and stomach. He then allegedly attacked a bouncer who intervened.A friend of the victim said he didn't think the fight was over team loyalty."We didn't say anything to them at all. We didn't really know they were chiefs fans, cause they didn't even have jerseys or anything on that said chiefs. I didn't know until the cops got them and pulled their id's out," said a witness to the fight. The victim underwent surgery Sunday at Methodist Hospital, and is in fair condition. Listening to Bryant Gumble is so tortuous it is nearly inhumane. VitaminD
What an idiot his sentence should be 5 years of prison on weekends only in which hes locked up whenever there is a NFL Game on TV, and in a place there is no access to the score or the game.Actually, the only football he should be allowed to watch would be NFL Network broadcasts. Listening to Bryant Gumble is so tortuous it is nearly inhumane.Oy, Bryant Gumbel is just bah-ROO-tull to listen to. For an otherwise (seemingly) intelligent guy, he has zero rhythm and brings nothing to the table when broadcasting. Not to make light of a tragic event when someone was stabbed, ostensibly over football, but can you imagine the wave of BS news stories that would've come out of this had it been an Eagles fan? Granted, we who bleed midnight green have a laundry list of bad stories, mostly due to the lunatic fringe that seems to represent the whole lot of us, but for God's sake, some jackass would've tied this stabbing to fans booing Santa Claus back in 1968. That's nineteen hundred sixty and eight, folks. Still hearing about it, not that I am bitter... "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.
