WVU logo

Recommended Posts

I think the WVU logo is classic, but a little outdated

so I spiced things up a bit and tried to incorporate the term 'mountaineers'

this didnt take long, and probably isn't perfect, but with some C&C I think it could look really good

I...... Like it. I think you did a good job here man. You added a simple but noticeable element with out adding some crazy color.

It really doesn't work. The white reads as snow and none of the mountains in the Appalachians are snowcapped or pointy for that matter.

You'd also have to be concerned with how well this logo would minimize. I think it would be difficult to tell that it was a mountain and not just a white shadow if it was small enough to appear on a football helmet. This brings about another issue: The current logo is versitile enough to appear in any of the school's colors, but this one seems to be locked into navy blue. Yellow mountains would probably look a little silly. I also have a few qualms with the notion that the current logo looks a little dated. I've always found it to be timeless, simple, and very solid design-wise.

That's nice. Give it a 15 degree shear (slant) towards the right and I think it'll look great.

I think I'd like it better if there wasn't snow on the V. The snow on the W should be good enough because the V is almost like an extension of the W, and thus doesn't need the snow.
