leopard88 Posted January 5, 2008 Share Posted January 5, 2008 For me, this is the best Pirate uni ever:I normally prefer button-down shirts and belted pants, but here the pullovers and waistbands are done beautifully. And those socks are gorgeous.That is the Pirates look that I grew up with, so I've always liked it as well. However, the sleeve stripes are waaaaay too big. Scale down the sleeves, turn the jersey into a button-down and add a belt and you have a winner.As for the 1979 uniforms, as an Oriole fan, I will never like those. There is a reason my wife and kids know not to play "We Are Family" around me (which, by the way, was a song about a bunch of women -- nice sports anthem). Shouldn't we both still be in bed anyway?
