The Mets unveiled their CitiField logo this morning.

[sarcasm]Real imaginative and creative...[/sarcasm]

Then again, I can't say I'm surprised by anything they churn out anymore...

The ONLY saving grace and MAYBE a hint in the right direction (but probably not)...no black...

Actualy the Shea logo resembles the final season at Tiger Stadium patch Detroit used.

"Post Hoc, Ergo Propter Hoc!:  "After this, therefore, because of this."

I could be wrong, but doesn't MLB have a problem with teams wearing corporate logos on uniforms, even for new ballparks? I think that's why the Brewers went generic rather than using the Miller Park logo.

Check out today's Uni Watch News Ticker.

In case you didn?t realize the Mets were now a wholly owned subsidiary of Citibank, they underscored the point the other day by wearing Citi Field caps, which is so utterly nauseating that I think Mr. Met just popped a few stitches on his head.

Just because this Ripken patch was posted on another thread (jogging my memory), if the Mets ripped off the Tigers than the Tigers first stole from the Orioles:

You mean the O's first stole from Detroit...

Tigers: 1999

Orioles: 2001

Mets: 2008

Well a circle with a banner on the bottom of it containing dates is hardly a patented design.
