Stampman
So the OScars are on while I'm on line--I'm sort of paying attention to it--I'm trying to resist--but Sean Penn winning for Best Actor makes me think of how Jeff Spicoli from "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" would accept the Oscar--And he also would have pizza delivered to his seat.Anyway I'd have voted for Bill Murray. winters in buffalo
Was it for the role of "Traitor" during the "The Gulf War, Part II"?
the_cynic
It is pretty amazing that a guy who once played the character of Spicoli could win the "Best Actor" Oscar.Bill Murray looked pissed when they announced Sean Penn's name. Then Billy Crystal said "don't go Bill, don't go, we like you" after the commercial break. Bill look like he was ready to cry but he kept it cool with a smile. In a way you can't really blame Bill Murray for being sad or upset. This was probably his last chance at winning the "Best Actor" category. CC97
Yeah, that would've been awesome if Bill won... but I bet he will start taking these roles exclusively now that he knows how close he came. --- Chris Creamer Founder/Editor, SportsLogos.Net "The Mothership" • News • Facebook • X/Twitter • Instagram

the_cynic
I haven't seen "Lost in Translation" but was his role in that film all the great or serious? From the clips that I've seen from the movie he still seems like himself. In my own opinion, Bill Murray doesn't seem all that versatile as an actor.
