Who is on your Team (Insert Country) Roster.

We are about two weeks away from seeing the unveiled rosters for the countries competing in the Olympic Games in Vancouver in February. By now we should know who is on and who is off, so just out of curiosity let's see what everyone has on their team doesn't matter what country. Then when the teams are unveiled we can see how close we actually were.

Removed Drew Doughty for my boy Robyn Regehr. Has the Olympic experience and is the best shutdown man in the NHL.

I know the OP said not to criticize, but even though I would love Tyler Myers to play for Team USA in Vancouver, he is a dual-citizen of the USA and Canada and has already played for Team Canada in the 2008 WJC, therefore cannot play for Team USA.

My Team Canada

Forwards

Rick Nash - A Sidney Crosby - A Jarome Iginla - reports out of camp that Iggy hasn't had any chemistry with Sid, but Nash & Sid work well.

Patrick Marleau - Joe Thornton - Dany Heatley

Corey Perry - Ryan Getzlaf - Martin St Louis

Vincent Lecavalier - Mike Richards - Steven Stamkos

Shane Doan/Brendan Morrow - one or the other

Defense

Jay Bouwmeester - C Scott Niedermayer

Duncan Keith - Brent Seabrook - wanna know why Chicago is winning, look at this duo, if you accept the sharks line, you accept this, hands down.

Dan Boyle - Chris Pronger

Robyn Regehr - you need one of the best shutdown defensemen in the game for this.

Goaltenders

Martin Brodeur

Marc-Andre Fleury

Roberto Luongo

Pardon me while I put the #1 and #2 as the 2 goaltenders that have been known to win big games. Fleury has made the finals 2yrs in a row, won a stanley cup ring last year, Brodeur, the greatest goaltender of all time - like he needs an explanation. Luongo, the guy wins during the season, turns mediocre in the playoffs. Whine all you want about what I've just stated, but it's the truth. You go with the 2 goaltenders that can win in a pressure situation, Fleury and Brodeur have, Luongo hasn't and likely never will.

Between Brodeur & Luongo, they've won 1 playoff round. Fleury? 17. Fleury is definitely on this team, he and Brodeur are #1 and #2, Fleury WILL be the back-up.

You don't have a 22-8-1 record with 5 out of 6 regular defensemen missing for a month for nothing. Brodeur doesn't lead the league with 22 (22-8-1) wins for nothing either. And yes, they are #1 and #2 for that stat as well, Brodeur #1, Fleury #2. The sooner people accept it, the better.

I like that the Olympics is in my hometown too, city I was born in but if they make LUongo the back-up just because he plays on the hometown team, that would be pathetic. Might as well then just add Kevin Bieksa and Alex Burrows too. <_<:cursing:

Robert Esche? Do you want your US team to win or lose? It'd be Miller, Thomas, Quick and for Defense, Myers played for Canada at the WJC so he isn't eligible to play for the US, if he wanted to represent the US he would have but he moved to Canada at age 10 and wanted to represent them.

That first pairing is brutal, you'll be better off with Alex Goligoski, Brooks Orpik since Goligoski actually has a shot at making the team, Eaton not so much. You also forgot that Ryan Whitney was invited but hey this is supposed to be your team so I'll stop criticizing it and let it be. Just my 2 cents on your picks, for the most part...pretty decent (btw, Kessel is a regular before Rupp and Connolly is a 2nd liner before Legwand is).
