Washington Capitals Alternate logo concept

I still have some work to do but I think this is the best logo ive ever made and just want to make it better so any c and c would be much appreciated

Looks like a wig with a beak attached to it. It is drastically in need of more detail and shadowing, IMO.

Also, the "WASHINGTON" part of the script is basically unreadable. Black-on-blue? No thanks.

Keep at it, though, and you'll have a really good logo here.

I had NO idea there was a 'Washington' in that logo til you said that.

I like the 'Capitals' script, though.

You might want to add some color around the neck like this.I agree with the blue on black font, it is a no-no. Also the shading on the A's is going a different way than on any other letters and it bothers me. Maybe make him look more fierce?

OK im going to make the eyes more fierce and add some feathers around the neck area to start. By the way i didnt make this script its from a caps logo. Im also going to fix the script

It's got potential to be a good design, but yes black on blue won't work, as many have stated above. Also, try and fix up the beak and eyes of the eagle. It's just too rough on the edges. Try possibly simplifying the feathers on the eagle's head a bit.

Definitely needs work, but it does have potential.

Right now it looks more like a seagull than an eagle, one thing I notice is that the eye doesn't look like an eagle's eye at all.

Keep at it though.

i dont want to be too harsh here, because the layout you have can work, but here i go...it looks like you just pasted a generic bird face behind the old capitals wordmark. the outer shapes of the beak and feathers around the back of the head have too much detail or too much jaggedness while the interior of the logo has too little detail as far as shading goes. keep working on making it flow together as a whole logo (rather than just a bird and a wordmark placed together) and it can work.

I like it but i remember the caps having a logo similar to this that they never used. good job tho. i like the font.
