dirwuf
If the Yankees and Giants make it to the Fall Classic, we will see the first no-name-on-back World Series games (the ones played in SF) since, believe it or not, the Dodgers and Twins in 1965. Punch
That's an interesting statistic. Sounds like something ESPN comes up with, though. (example - Cliff Lee is the first pitcher whose name rhymes with bee to win 3 playoff games as a Texas Ranger.)
BroadwayBlueshirt
Almost happened with the Subway Series, but the Mets fell just short without NOBs in '99 and added them back for 2000, when they did win the pennant.

Seeing as how this is a logos site, which also deals with uniform detail because logos appear on uniforms, I really don't see the correlation. CDixonDesign
The entire game of baseball is based deep within silly statistics...so it fits perfectly. Interesting point!

ManCalledAmp
All the more reason for me to cheer against the Yankees. I don't want that stat hanging over this year's WS. It's the Major Leagues, and money is no object...put the NOB on there.Tradition or not, NNOB will always look bush league for me. Go Gators. Go Blue Raiders. Go Commodores. Go USC Trojans.Preds & Avs. Braves, Rays, & Dodgers. Titans, Colts, Broncos, Cardinals. Grizzlies. 14ers, Jam. Team Spirit + Laziness = Yay.
