My personal soccer league

Recommended Posts

I'm just starting to work on a personal soccer league, with 16 teams.

Before I get to the concepts, I'm trying to come up with team names and locations.

I have 16 locations, but if anybody has ideas for better ones, please do tell me. I would also like ideas for team names for the ones that don't have names yet.

East

Northeast-

New York City, NY (New York Metro)

Philadelphia, PA (Philadelphia United)

Boston, MA (Boston Pilgrims)

Baltimore, MD (Baltimore Admirals)

Southeast-

Jacksonville, FL

Atlanta, GA

Richmond, VA

New Orleans, LA (New Orleans Pelicans)

West

Northwest-

Seattle, WA

Colorado Springs, CO

Vancouver, BC

Boise, ID

Southwest-

Phoenix, AZ

Dallas, TX

Los Angeles, CA

Salt Lake City, UT

Also, if anyone has ideas for the league name, please let me know.

EDIT: Just wondering, how do you change the topic name and description?

Put two more teams in each conference IMO. Good idea lightning25

ie. East

St. Petersburg, Florida

Do not know of many teams from here.

Charlotte, N Carolina

Not many National teams from the Carolinas.

Central

Albuquerque, New Mexico

Are there any national teams from this area?

Omaha, Nebraska

Besides the UFL who else is from here?

West

Modesto, California

Underated Area

Reno, Nevada

Close enough to other areas to pull crowds

Good ideas for locations, I'll add those.

What does 'national' teams mean? do you mean professional? Im confused a little.

Anyways, St. Pete and Tampa make up the Tampa Bay metropolitan area so the Buccaneers, Lightning, and Rays are technically there.

Charlotte has the NFL Panthers, Bobcats, and Hurricanes and if you count minor league baseball, the Knights. These two cities are good choices I think, but it's not correct to say they dont have teams there, unless you mean only soccer, then youre right.

Reno is in the middle of nowhere, still a decent location a few hours from Sacramento, but to say it's close enough to other areas isnt that true.

Modesto is a small town by California standards. the only way it could be consider a good location is since it's perfectly between San Fran, Sacramento, and Fresno. But it's kind of out of it's league compared to most of the other cities on your list, Reno might be too, but I like it since it doesnt have any team that I know of other than the Aces baseball team.

This is your league, lightning, you dont have to take every suggestion. I like the name Gunners though. I was actually thinking of using the same name in the future for a team. I like Emerals to for Seattle. I think the 3 conference idea is a interesting idea. I like it just because it's unique.

Decided to go with the USL or United Soccer League.

Tried to do some logos.

CNC please, and, just like before, more team name suggestions.

First one for primary, and 2nd and 5th because you can see the soccer ball and kicking motion.

Also i didn't try to make you go with the choices i made just that they were other alternatives for you.

I know, it's not a problem.

And thanks for the comment.
