Dexter Morgan
I always hated that 300 Wins patch. They might as well have made a patch of someone patting themselves on the back with the caption, "WE PROVIDED A LOT OF RUN SUPPORT FOR AN AGING ROGER CLEMENS." The funny thing is, I don't think we'll ever see patches celebrating pitcher win/loss milestones again, because most people realize it's a meaningless stat. The Jeter patch looks okay, but "DJ3K" is beyond lame.He was probably on steroids, but Clemens was still a very solid pitcher in 2003. He won the NL Cy Young the very next season.
Gothamite
Why is Joe Torre dressed like Indiana Jones?Like most old-school players, Torre always had an offseason job. Yogi Berra sold suits, Eddie Matthews worked in an auto dealership, and Joe Torre was an archaeologist-slash-adventurer. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
