New Stanley Logo

I didn't see this anywhere on the boards and happened to see the new logo on the #9 car of Marcus Ambrose for Richard Petty Motorsports. Here's the press release:

Nice, like it a lot for what it is. Don't know much about motorsports at all though.

feels a bit boring to me. adds more than this did though

i wish they'd keep that outline around it.

I rather like it. I have to say though, I didn't see the modified 'N' as representing 'the concept of 'Action'' as the press release rather grandly states - my immediate thought was that it hinted at the company's most famous product, its knives.

Anyway, here for no real reason is a picture of the new logo on a bloody big axe.

For some reason the new logo reminds me a lot of Caterpilar, with the color scheme and the triangle in the N. I realise they had the yellow and black going before as well, but it still looks much more 'CAT' than the old logo did...
