guest23
Not good. And Eli Manning is implicated, which is bad for the league.Willing to bet this is way more common than believed as there's way too much game used memorabilia on the market in relation to the amount of equipment actually used. It also makes perfect sense that some players are going to want to keep their own gear as mementos as well.

Wouldn't they be better off just not putting the stuff out at all?I would always be suspicious of "game used" stuff, but mainly because I would not trust the dealers. TheRicSlick
Not very surprised, teams probably do this all the time.
Gothamite
I would be surprised if teams forged these types of items on any significant scale. As said above, seems easier to just not release them. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.

OnWis97
Isn't having New York on their merch counterfeit in the first place?Roughly as much as calling the Redskins "Washington" when they play in Maryland. dhamen0420
I'm not condoning the buying of counterfeits, but after people have been paying good money for "game used" memoribilia, I dont feel bad for any party anymore expecially anyone associated with the NFL.
