  1. I actually still have that jersey.... and I still love it. Also the Nordiques logo is overrated and I actually was not a fan of both of the Stadium series jerseys this year the could have be so much more done but I digress. I also hate the Miami Marlins "M" logo... I just don't like it +1 I always thought the logo was extremely clever. "The Stars aligning to create an unstoppable force." The sleeve patches were also a unique way to include their primary mark while maintaining the style of the new logo. Does it look like a uterus? Maybe a slight resemblance but I don't think it deserves half the derision it gets.
  2. Why wouldn't it be, they already have a banner for that victory.
  3. Guess I haven't really paid much attention than . I just figured a team with such a storied history would be doing better.
  4. Am I watching the Devils or the Panthers? You'd think with 3 championships, and still being in the hunt for the playoffs would bring out more fans.
  5. Like a football version of the Buffaslug uniforms
  6. The idea of two teams at the caliber of the Blackhawks and Blues meeting in round one is absolutely ludicrous to me... No more automatic spots for division standings please!
  7. The Celtics primary logo is a joke. All they need is a shamrock, like the alternate logo from 98
  8. The Stars "All Star" set is a better look than what they are wearing now. The Stars need gold!
  9. The Kings jerseys aren't amazing but they're good enough. Simple striping, a unique colour scheme with history behind it. If it were up to me, the Kings would have won their cups in the pre-edge set but they didn't so the Kings look is what it is.
  10. Well by that logic, the Bruins should drop their cup winning togs cause they blew a 3-0 series lead the year prior to their cup...
  11. And it retains the shimmer silver! Good on the Canucks for opting out of the RBK template. Still, I find myself missing these colours from time to time. Same with the wordmark-less Orca.
  12. +1. Its a solid look with a championship behind it. No need for a change.
  13. I agree, but it's still the best logo they've ever had which is probably why it gets so much (baffling) love. The Canucks need to blow it all up and start from scratch again. But since that logo is so (unbelievably) beloved I don't see them ever being able to escape it. I never understood the "boring" argument. It's no less "exciting" than the Habs, Leafs, Packers, Steelers, 9ers, and most other logos considered untouchable classics. They just have enough history behind them to make them see the logos with rose coloured glasses. While the Canucks certainly don't have the same degree of prestige as those teams, but the logo has a level of rapport around BC that is unmatched, especially considering the identity crisis the team has gone through. Its a point of consistency thats been with the team throughout most of its history in one form or another. The problem isn't really that it's boring. It's that it doesn't really relate to the team at all. Says nothing about Vancouver or Canucks. It's a generic logo that could be used for pretty much any team in the league (And no, that's still not a real "C"). It would actually be a great logo for a hockey league, because it's a nice, simple design. For a team, though? It could be anybody.. You could make the argument that most of the "untouchable classics" could represent any team with the same initials as well. A logo doesn't have to be a literal representation of the teams namesake anyways.
  14. There really was only one other option for a secondary colour, to make it consistent with the road jersey, and that's white. I'm glad they chose black and created one of the best looking jerseys in league history
  15. Stole the words out of my mouth. They use about 4 too many colours and the striping is inconsistent. They're far from terrible but certainly not the "end all be all" of hockey uniforms.
  16. It will be the best looking ASG since Minnesota, which unfortunately isn't saying a lot. Still, they aren't bad and are certainly a huge improvement over the last iteration of ASG uniforms.
  17. Didn't just look fine, it looked great. If only Penguins had won their 2009 cup in this set
  18. Seconded. I have no idea why they didn't at least keep it as a shoulder patch. Worked well on the Pre-Edge set
  19. They're the "blue" jays... How can it be blue for blues sake? The problem is the idiotic idea to have every dark uniform counterpart be grey instead of making the team colours prominent.
  20. +1. Those alternates were a nice change of pace. Seeing them 8 times a year would be perfect.
  21. The L.A. King's first "RBK Edge" set is worlds better than their current one
