  1. Not a fan of numbers on the shoulders of NHL uniforms. With the Oilers, it at least makes sense because it's a throwback but on the Panther's it just looks weird. Those uniforms would be significantly improved if the numbers were on the sleeves and the flag badges were on the shoulders.
  2. Me too, I would like to see them wear these full time with a matching white.
  3. This logo is garbage. The inaugural logo should still be around.
  4. I don't miss the Maple Leafs old sock striping in the slightest. Now that I'm used to the new uniforms, the former socks seem really dated.
  5. The Edmonton Oilers should wear their orange alternates full time. They are that good.
  6. The Leafs new uniforms have really grown on me since the unveiling. Dare I say, the single hem stripe actually looks pretty refreshing and sharp... Even if it is influenced by the bland 'Ballard' set from the 70's/80's.
  7. Not sure if this is an unpopular opinion or not, but the Diamondback's brick, teal, and black combo looks atrocious. That being said, I would respect it more if they had the gumption to adopt it full time and at least provide a minimal link to the World Series winning look.
  8. First of all, the template isn't exactly like the All-Star jerseys so give them credit for fixing the backs. While the colours were certainly on the drab side, the way they were executed was worlds better than on the previous set. As for the logo not lining up, we are talking about design elements that are completely separate. The star on the logo has always been italicised and there's no way you could give the striping the same treatment. The shoulder patches do contain gold as well. Are their current jerseys better? Absolutely. Is this set a complete failure? Not really. At the time they looked pretty good and have a Stanley Cup Championship associated with them. I'd give them a solid 7/10.
  9. Couldn't agree more. The piping to nowhere and intersecting hem stripes would almost be tolerable without those half-assed flags. As for that logo, I wouldn't call it brilliant by any stretch but at least it's an actual attempt at branding.
  10. The swastika is a really well-designed insignia. Shame it can't be used anymore due to the historical baggage, especially since it was originally created to represent peace. Or so I've heard.
  11. As far as I'm concerned, all this crap in the political arena represents these people out here... For eight years, brother, for eight years I held my head high. I did everything for the charities, I did everything for the American people and the reception I got when I came out here - you people can stick it, brother!
  12. That is brilliant. I didn't think this flag was anything special until now.
  13. Unless every journalist who reviewed the re-design and the majority of posters on these boards had a sudden change of heart, yes. I don't remember any outrage at the logo change and many said the re-design produced the best look in Panthers history. Also recall hearing from many that the Panther's original logo was too detailed, too 90's and needed to be changed. See above.
  14. This... Is better than this: The Florida Panthers logo should have never been in changed in this logo enthusiast's opinion. While you can argue that it's over detailed, that style gives it it's energy, uniqueness, and even charm. It looks like a high powered, hockey logo that managed adopt new aesthetic choices without sacrificing staying power. There's a reason why this logo lasted well beyond the 90's and I think the organization made a huge mistake ditching it for a tired, military shield.
  15. Beautiful work. A version sans orange would be even better. I can't understand for the life me why the Padres won't embrace brown and yellow as their colour scheme.
  16. I can understand liking the current set more. Going with athletic gold was definitely a good decision but I can't for the life of me get over that awful striping configuration with the piping that inexplicably intersects with hem stripes. The updated logo doesn't really get a chance to shine on those uniforms because it feels suffocated by the piping and chest panels. The striping configuration for the inaugural set, on the other hand, was a stroke of genius. It managed to be creative without going over the top. If Nashville was able to create an athletic gold sweater with something similar they'd really be onto something.
  17. Both of these teams look better here than they do now...
  18. The Nordiques original logo is garbage... So much so that the Teal and Purple husky from 1995 was an upgrade.
  19. Hands down the best the state flag. Still doesn't belong on a sports uniform though *cough, Ravens*
  20. Not my favourite but I like it much better than the current, orange, alt. Also really miss the midnight blue, red and copper set... The Pre-Edge version of course ;).
  21. Here's one, For all the flaws of the Canucks current set, they are still one of the best dressed teams in the league right now. Best colour scheme, bar none.
  22. I agree it looked good but the new colour scheme is vastly superior. The thing I liked about that set the most is that the Orca gets to stand alone.
