  1. Yes. I've wanted to change my avatar since the Stanley Cup Final ended and it won't let me. I've tried three different browsers, deleted all cookies from and it still won't let me. If anyone with this problem has been able to find a way around it, please let me know.
  2. The main set looks really sharp and I think most people on these boards would be stoked if the real team went in that direction. The new number font works surprisingly well with their old colour configuration and the shoulder patch gives some balance to previously bottom heavy design. My only criticisms are the decision to make the triangle in the road logo purple (it just looks better in jade IMO) and the decision not to wrap the sleeve stripes all the way around. That being said, this is great start to your series and I look forward to seeing more.
  3. I like the idea of adding a "Volt" of electricity to otherwise stale, derivative identity and the sleeve/shoulder design looks particularly striking on the home jersey. My only suggestion would be to find a way to work black into the logo. Maybe in the form of a shadow similar to what their inaugural logo had. Nice work!
  4. Love the originality of some these designs, particularly Washington and Nashville. The only criticism I have is that some of the crests on these are waaaay too big.
  5. Why does this set look so good in this picture. Without the pedestal, this would have been a solid upgrade. I miss the white 'C' with the thin black outline.
  6. Flames prototype that's actually an improvement. The piping actually goes somewhere and it doesn't have the intersecting hem stripes. Alberta patch is also a different shape. Stars prototype with two layer numbers/script Avalanche prototype with the earlier footprint patches.
  7. Great logo. Horrible, horrible angle. One from which WWE has still not recovered.
  8. Not even the Avalanche? Now that is unpopular .
  9. A crescent moon, in the same colour, would work brilliantly, given what the flag represents; The gold looks really good, just not sold on the hammer and sickle
  10. The green just kills it. Otherwise, it'd look pretty solid. Maybe a little on the busy side but interesting none the less.
  11. Fake or not, that's a beautiful uniform. Love the shoulder yoke.
  12. One thing I liked about the 'Slug' was that it made gold more prominent, making the logo really stand out on a Navy background. The updated shoulder logos looked sharp as well, particularly the gold-heavy version. Unfortunately, that is where I run out of good things to say. Even if the logo resembled a Buffalo, instead of a Banana Slug, it would still be saddled to one of the most idiosyncratic templates ever devised. It was appropriate for those uniforms to usher in the 'RBK Edge' travesty that ruined so many great looks.
  13. The Sabres current uniforms would be great if they dropped three things; the front numbers, piping-to-nowhere and pit stains. Unpopular opinion; I think Navy, Gold and Silver looks worlds better than Royal Blue and Yellow. I also think the logo is improved with the silver outlines as it makes it look less flat. The red eye is also a nice touch that stands out better on Navy. That being said, I thought it was great when they used royal blue for an alternate look. This would be the ideal Sabres set in my opinion...
  14. Interesting find. I wonder if this is a proposed design for the debut of the orca or if it was created after. My guess is the former since that 'shimmer' material debuted the same year of the rebrand. Then again, maybe it's just a fashion jersey. Either way, the uniform looks very drab and lifeless. The 1997-07 set wasn't particularly colourful, to begin with, but at least the blue and metallic silver gave the striping some interest.
  15. Not a fan of numbers on the shoulders of NHL uniforms. With the Oilers, it at least makes sense because it's a throwback but on the Panther's it just looks weird. Those uniforms would be significantly improved if the numbers were on the sleeves and the flag badges were on the shoulders.
  16. Me too, I would like to see them wear these full time with a matching white.
  17. This logo is garbage. The inaugural logo should still be around.
  18. I don't miss the Maple Leafs old sock striping in the slightest. Now that I'm used to the new uniforms, the former socks seem really dated.
  19. The Edmonton Oilers should wear their orange alternates full time. They are that good.
  20. The Leafs new uniforms have really grown on me since the unveiling. Dare I say, the single hem stripe actually looks pretty refreshing and sharp... Even if it is influenced by the bland 'Ballard' set from the 70's/80's.
  21. Not sure if this is an unpopular opinion or not, but the Diamondback's brick, teal, and black combo looks atrocious. That being said, I would respect it more if they had the gumption to adopt it full time and at least provide a minimal link to the World Series winning look.
  22. First of all, the template isn't exactly like the All-Star jerseys so give them credit for fixing the backs. While the colours were certainly on the drab side, the way they were executed was worlds better than on the previous set. As for the logo not lining up, we are talking about design elements that are completely separate. The star on the logo has always been italicised and there's no way you could give the striping the same treatment. The shoulder patches do contain gold as well. Are their current jerseys better? Absolutely. Is this set a complete failure? Not really. At the time they looked pretty good and have a Stanley Cup Championship associated with them. I'd give them a solid 7/10.
  23. Couldn't agree more. The piping to nowhere and intersecting hem stripes would almost be tolerable without those half-assed flags. As for that logo, I wouldn't call it brilliant by any stretch but at least it's an actual attempt at branding.
