  1. That new Davidson cat feels way more generic than the previous one. Maybe it's the grey that was added in, maybe it's the three-quarter view instead of the front-facing view, maybe it's the lack of the diamond. I would look at that wildcat logo and never be able to distinguish it as uniquely Davidson. I also love how the article on Davidson's website mentions "an expert design firm" but doesn't mention which one. That tells me that that firm likely isn't proud of the work.
  2. Phoenix hasn't changed. I feel bad for Yuba students. Lots of schools are going away from their PDW-designed identities, and here is Yuba getting one.
  3. I just want to say how much I love this entire series and how much thought you put into the whole thing. You clearly take your time and consider every element of the uniform, and don't churn out a bunch of concepts with similar number fonts (like someone else on here does).
  4. The fewer Phoenix logos are out there, the better. If only UMass Lowell would follow suit and drop their Phoenix-designed identity...
  5. Pertinent to this site, this is the logo that Union has put out with the nickname. I actually like the nickname. What’s in a name? Union explores a new nickname and mascot | Union College This article explains why they changed it from Dutchmen in the first place. Basically, it seems like people just didn't connect with the nickname, which seems to have never been formally adopted in the first place.
  6. A massive upgrade for the Coast Guard Academy.
  7. Frankly, they could've just used the one from the seal
  8. Oh, I know that for sure. But it still an accomplishment, given that the college teams rarely beat the pro teams and that every UT player that day was younger than every Phillies player that day. Plus, it's a D2 team, not a D1.
  9. That U of Dallas monogram is a huge downgrade as well. The previous one was timeless, and is good enough to have been used for both athletics and academics. This one already feels dated.
  10. Nova Southeastern are the reigning D2 men's basketball champions. The Miami Dolphins training facility used to be on their campus as well.
  11. Honestly, I see no reason to change if they don't have to. The CAA logo is a perfectly fine conference logo. It's easily legible, yet the tight kerning makes it unique enough. Plus, they've had some version of it, according to the mothership, for 20 years.
  12. The new FDU marks were done by the same firm that did the St. Peter's refresh. The fonts look pretty similar. I miss the chess piece logo. That was unique.
  13. I like the design of the Missouri State uniforms, but I've got a couple of criticisms. I love the school's wordmark font that they already use. Why not use it for the uniforms, including the numbers? Minor nitpick: the Flag Code states that the US flag should be the highest, so I'd flip the order of the flags on the helmet.
  14. I like both updates. The one thing that Campbell is missing is a head-only logo.
  15. For Emmett's alternate, I would put the player number on the front instead of the "E". Having the block E and the script wordmark together like that is jarring.
  16. That updated UWRF wordmark is better. The bevels in the old one were quite the eyesore. I do like the new academic logo as well. I wish that they'd work it into the athletic identity, or barring that, the blue trim.
  17. Fantastic job here. Are the numbers on the dark jerseys white or silver? I'd prefer them to be silver so that they tie to the helmet. Minor presentation nitpick, the TV numbers on the player's left shoulder are off.
  18. For UT Martin, I'd have loved to see you go ultra-modern on it. You could've gone with a helmet similar to the old Iowa Barnstormers, using the skyhawk's goggles as a base.
  19. And another Phoenix Design Works logo is dead. A great day.
  20. On your Philly one, I would've never read that secondary logo as a "P" if you hadn't told me. Not sure how to fix that, For Chicago, that secondary logo is so good, I'd promote it to the main.
  21. I don't like that change for Lewis. I think of a "flyer" as someone who flies. This new logo being a plane doesn't fit that for me. Also, I don't really get "athletic logo" vibe from it. I see more "corporate air freight" logo more than anything. I'd be curious to know why they retired Bedcheck Charlie.
