  1. Florida State legit ruined the Orange Bowl this year for the broadcasters and I’m so here for that.
  2. I actually wonder if the expanded playoff is going to make it even worse. I could see a good handful of prospective first/second round guys looking at the prospect of playing increasingly more difficult/competitive teams for four extra weeks and saying lol nope. Not even a college title is worth the risk of having to play Michigan, Bama, and Georgia (or whoever) three straight weeks.
  3. We’ve seen guys opt out of big games before, but I think this year is probably the breaking point for opt outs. Mentality seems that if I’m not playing for a National Championship, why would I bother risking injury in ANY other meaningless game to make this school that isn’t paying me even more money? I can’t say I disagree with that. I’m starting to get the feeling that the bowl committee leaving out FSU was the final straw for a lot of these guys, and I’m pretty sure it’s gonna ruin the bowl game setup.
  4. Imagine if the Browns were in this position and they hadn’t already preemptively ruined the good feels by signing a rapist to the largest ever guaranteed deal in league history. Much like winning the finals in those ugly black sleeved jerseys, Cleveland just can’t have nice things.
  5. I didn’t know that. That’s interesting. I saw the saguaros and it didn’t seem out of place to me because the Sun Bowl has basically become ASU’s barely eligible bowl game (which they usually are most years), so it just seemed to fit!
  6. Ight. A reverse retro Kensington jersey, then.
  7. @razorback447 Riddell Axiom. A couple of NFL players wear them, too. They look real weird.
  8. I can see it now. Yellow jersey, bold, blue script that reads Kensington.
  9. The most embarrassed I ever felt for an adult when I was a kid was the time I met Dan Hampton while walking into a restaurant bathroom at Dukes in Honolulu. This 50 something year old dude, in an orange Bears jersey, just full on T Swift style groupie FREAKED OUT. “Do you know who this is?! It’s THE DANIMAL!!” While shaking my shoulders violently. Sir, I’m twelve, and this dude looks like my dad’s old Yellow Pages co worker. You’re keeping me from my Hula pie.
  10. The NBA is ultimately going to lose the Christmas space to the NFL, so I’m not sure if they should throw out all of the stops, or just forget about it altogether.
  11. The Saints already play in the most drab and dark division in football. They should just lean into it. The bright champagne color always looked out of place and has way less character than the darker brassy gold, anyway.
  12. Well yeah, but RC is worldwide company, so that would make sense.
  13. Lol, it’s the largest cruise ship company in the world. Not exactly some niche company. Also, based out of Miami. Anyone from the area is going to recognize the crown and anchor.
  14. Yeah people were kind of ignoring the Ravens before the season, but I had a feeling they were going to be one of the best teams in the league. They were really well put together, and only got stronger during the off season (they also almost beat Cincinnati in the playoffs without Lamar). Baltimore is a supremely well run organization and it’s always made me a little envious. I can’t even imagine how it must make old school Browns fans feel. In a perfect/the funniest world, Flacco would beat the Ravens in the AFC title game this season, and then for the late game we could watch Baker try to do the same to the Lions.
  15. NFC just isn’t that good. Baker is gonna get rocked in the Super Bowl.
  16. No, this is a terrible idea that would ruin the sanctity of not just the league, but the sport itself. I spit on this idea. - Fan of a team that’s the most successful team in what’s usually the worst division in football
  17. I definitely don’t agree with the second part of all that, but I do appreciate that you have some self awareness about it
  18. I think you’re probably right, but they have basketball’s version of Derek Jeter and they’re never going to give that up. Everyone else, though? Boy bye.
  19. I love Draymond. Dude was the glue for four championship squads. Even I think this is getting tiresome. The league should suspend him for half of the season at this point
  20. Happier, yes. Now if they go get Yamamoto, all sins will be forgiven!
  21. They’re owned by the Guggenheim (Old European money) Group, so, probably whenever the next assassination of an Archduke happens. They have like $500 billion in total assets.
