  1. Matthew Stafford and Clayton Kershaw (I'unno if this is the right place to put this, but I figured it was as good as any other thread)
  2. It's just a bit early to make this claim, considering they've been with new teams for all of 3 or 4 days.
  3. Yes, I think the Suns did a throwback during the Barkley era to the original uniforms which had been used all the way up to just before Barkley joined Phoenix. I think they may have worn those in preseason that year and busted out the new ones for the regular season...but I may be making that up I don't think you're making it up - I also remember the Suns wearing the old unforms in pre-season that year and not using the new ones until the regular season started. Also wasn't that their first season in America West (or whatever it's called now) arena? I'm pretty sure that's the case. The Suns even wore these in an episode of "Hangin' with Mr. Cooper".
  4. I don't slide much (and it's hilarious when I do), but there have been times in the past I've tripped or other such shenanigans and have gotten cut up a bit on what passes for dirt on our infields. Even with the pants it's still possible; yesterday, the third baseman on one of the teams we played ripped the knee of his tracksuit pants (or whatever they're called) trying to play a grounder. I play in a coed league and wear pants (and striped stirrups). I wore shorts with high socks all last season, but after going through 2 big bottles of peroxide and a bunch of gauze, I opted to wear pants for this season. It totally sucked to have to wrap my knee up with gauze every day so my knee wouldn't ooze through my khakis at work I'm torn on stirrups, really. What Mockba posted is fine. I hate the ones with the really big opening (i.e. showing a lot of sock underneath).
  5. Anyone have any idea what the "Sophia Grace George" is? Thanks in advance. Edit: Disregard. Found what I was looking for.
  6. The problem with "Philadelphia" on the front of the jersey is that it's just too long of a word.
  7. This also goes in the "Players Without Douchey Haircuts" thread. (Well, as far as I can tell. There's still definite doucheability here.)
  8. I heard that a few weeks ago. Pretty neat. He was also room mates with Edgar Renteria. The hell is up with those uniforms? I'm guessing that's just before the logos were revealed, but man, those are strange.
  9. He's the featured player in a Hershey Bears program that I have from 2004-ish, back when they were Colorado's affiliate.
  10. Ah! That's strange to see, especially when the old ones were up when I saw the Black Keys concert just a few weeks ago. The old ones were much nicer. The pictures of the players aren't consistent.
  11. Yeah, the first team I think of is the Red Sox. Speaking of Curt Schilling and the Astros: Worst trade ever? I thought it was just Red Sox fans who thought of him as a Red Sox fan first and foremost. Schill also doesn't look wrong in Phillies attire, either. And no, that's not the worst trade ever. The worst trade ever? To the Red Sox: Larry Andersen To the Astros: Jeff Bagwell I'd put the Lou Brock - Ernie Broglio trade above the Bagwell one for sure. I think Broglio won less than 10 games for the Cubbies. Brock's a HOFer. I don't know how much money Boston got in return for Babe Ruth, but that's gotta be up there, too.
  12. While I'll always consider Big Bert to be a Canuck, I think these are even stranger. He's been in Detroit for a few years and just signed a 2-year extension.
  13. I'm sure it's probably in this thread somewhere, but here's Garret Anderson: Right team, but I never associated GA with this uniform:
  14. AHH! When the hell did that happen? (Obviously, I'm aware that Omar must've signed for this season, but I seriously don't recall seeing that he signed with the Jays)
  15. Am I the only one who has absolutely no idea who these dudes are?
  16. Piggybacking on the post with Krukker in "The Fan", here's Carney Lansford as Kit "Hit or Die" Keasey in Angels in the Outfield
  17. These are my favorite NHL jerseys that were rebranded in the Edge switch.
  18. If only they stayed in town... I'm not sure how unpopular this set actually is, but it's one of my favorites in recent memory.
  19. If I'm getting what you're saying, you want to go to View > Show Bounding Box (....or Command+Shift+B )
  20. the fielder there needs to wake up. Yeah, he doesn't look very [Randy] Ready. Actually, I think Randy was out of Philly before Sid arrived.
  21. I think a dude who can levitate a bat just by looking at it can wear whatever the hell uniform he wants.
