    Laws of Economics? Lets see what the Constitution says:

    Article I Section VIII (The 7th Enumerated power of Congress)

    To promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts, by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries;

    Who cares if it violates economic "law" it violates the law of the country.

    That would have been awesome. It's exactly what I thought was going to happen when the trade was made. The uni change had not been announced (or, at least, I did not know about it). Even if it had been for one year, I'd really consider getting the yellow home version.

  3. FWIW, I've posted this before, but in order to make the replicas in the NHL for which Rbk charges around $115, it costs them just a little over $8 to produce the jerseys.

    Also, as far as NFL replicas go, the cost is about the same, but IIRC, retailers purchase the jerseys for around $35 from Rbk.

    While the jersey may only cost $8 to make, how much does say a Dicks or Sports Authority pay to buy them from RBK? How much does it cost to ship the jersey to the retail location? What percentage of the jersey sale go to the paycheck of the check out person etc...

    Just because they cost $8 to make there are a lot of hidden costs once it finally gets to the consumer.

  4. Are these considered to be counterfeits? Since the NHL is not producing them at all they are not "Knockoffs" in the truest sense, but I am guessing that they do not have licensing rights to use the logos/name?

    They're counterfeits, yes, but they're the only way to get a replica Barons jersey. They're one of the bastard children of the NHL that get no love from the throwbacks department. The only other way would be as mentioned above, to make one yourself but if the replicas aren't out there, good luck finding logo sets.

    That was my dilemma. Can something be considered a counterfeit if the item is not produced and sold on the legit market?
