The USA team is also wearing a contrast bill helmet, but not hat. The red bill makes a a very dull hat so much more exciting.

So...did New Era just refuse to do any contrast bills for this tornament? The US doesn't have the red bill cap (by far the better one), and the Aussies are wearing helmets with a yellow bill, while the Netherlands is wearing helmets with orange bills. Both teams have solid caps, but the helmets are better. What gives?

I think it's something to do with the classic teams. The Yankees sell a ton of the gray as well, probably 60-40 vs home from what I've seen. Tons of throwback BPs as well.

Any color would really help that look. The Rockies need an overhaul badly, one of the worst sets, if not the worst, in the majors.

Depends on the team, I like them on Minnesota and San Diego, Pittsburgh is okay, but I don't every want to see the Yankees, Mets, Phillies, or White Sox do it. I'd like Colorado to try as well.

I visited Target this year and met up with some fans, and my take away is that the M hat was a necessity. Most of MN doesn't live in the Twin Cities, and don't identify with the city or hats, and for them, the M is preferred Twins hat, and I saw a lot of them wearing the metrodome era M.

I like both of these better, WSH just seems odd.

This is from 2019's JRD -- looks correct there. Shame Nike/New Era insist on still selling the incorrect one.

You're not crazy, this is only the second time it's been right. I'm told JRD a few years ago as well. But you still can't find the proper one for sale except for the '47 one that's been correct for almost a decade now.

Less travel and available stadiums -- IIRC they own the Rangers old ballpark, plus the Alamodome in SA, and the lease with the University of Houston must still be in force.

I think it's New Era -- '47 gets it right pretty consistently. That said, they do have one with the same improper B, but if I recall correctly, that's from the one year (ironically, I believe it was 1947) where the Dodgers switched to Boston's hat supplier, and it got mixed in, but was never the official logo:
