  1. Detroit is up 13 early in the third at Boston. Is tonight their night?
  2. Russell Wilson and DeShaun Watson are taking turns covering each other for who has the worst contact in the league. That's nice of them.
  3. Good post. And I agree: it should be Tyreek Hill. He's the most disruptive player on the field.
  4. Trent Dilfer kind of messed up QB analysis for everyone. He won that Super Bowl with an all-time defense, and then became the poster boy for "good enough quarterback." Brock Purdy is playing with an all-time defense and all-time offensive weapons, but he's also making plays and scoring touchdowns. Dak plays with a great defense and great offense, but he doesn't have the wins or numbers of Brock. Ditto DeShaun Watson. And all of the bums on the Jets. Purdy is in the best possible situation but he's also delivering. I think he's the MVP. Him or Lamar.
  5. It's all set up nicely for Baltimore to squash Miami and the Bills to steal the division.
  6. Justin Fields might actually be the guy in Chicago after all. He's been looking good the last few weeks. Tyreek Hill should probably be the MVP.
  7. Remember those ESPN "Most wonderful time of the year" ads, where they celebrated all of the second-tier bowl games? Really feels like that's a long bygone era.
  8. It's been however many years in LA now for the Chargers, but it's really crazy to hear the crowd roar when the away team scores.
  9. Suarez officially to Inter Miami is really going to put the Miami in MLS next year. It'll break my heart when Nico Lodeiro signs there too, but I get it.
  10. Seems like spending a billion dollars on two players isn't so great for baseball. I don't know.
  11. That Russell Wilson trade keeps on paying off for the Seahawks.
  12. I would gladly accept that. Especially during Buffalo's 20-year abyss.
  13. You're right. That seemed off; I just pasted and posted. Maybe it was the 91 49ers? They were +154 and 3rd in the NFC West that year at 10-6.
  14. Turns out it was the 89 49ers at exactly +100: https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/best-point-differential-by-an-nfl-team-who-missed-the-playoffs-in-a-season#:~:text=Best Point Differential By An NFL Team Who,playoff season%2C with a 100-point differential in 1989.
  15. They were premature in burying themselves. They might be the first team with a 150+ point differential that misses the playoffs (I'm making that stat up). But they threw away winnable games that might be hard to dig out of. And because of that, they need help to get into the playoffs while they may be the most talented AFC team. However the season shakes out, I think McDermott needs to go. Blowout win or close loss is not a recipe for long-term success.
  16. I mean, I know I'm a certified football genius. It's just that my company really needs more middle management and I can't leave them hanging. Otherwise I'd for sure be an amazing offensive mastermind in the NFL. I just have a higher purpose.
  17. Tackling a running QB is getting kind of impossible now. Depending on that running QB.
  18. Extended playoff runs catch up to everyone not named Tom Brady.
  19. It's funny. Both the Chiefs and Bills are having down years, but Buffalo's costly mistakes have been way, way more costly. Both teams have been incredibly dumb in pressure situations, but the Chiefs' schedule has been more forgiving and they haven't had the volume of bonehead plays.
  20. For my money, Bears/Browns is the more compelling game, although the Chiefs (likely) pounding the Pats will be fun too. And I guess the Chiefs slipping on a banana peel would be fun too.
  21. MLS leaving the Open Cup is such a shame. I kind of enjoyed the stadium clock stopping at 90. How does it work in Europe and other places?
