I spent 20 years watching the Bills be mostly irrelevant. Now they're a team that reliably wins in the neighborhood of 11 games, but they take the hard way of getting there by playing to the level of their competition each week. It's kind of exhausting.

Penix threw a deep ball to the ASU goal line in the first half, and his receiver was both held and tackled but there was no call. It was wild in how blatant it was. The next play, Penix fumbled a handoff and ASU scored its touchdown on that possession. The refs made that happen. Otherwise, UW barely escaped. It was a weird and frustrating game to watch.

In my opinion the Chiefs are getting suspiciously plum scheduling and Brady-level ref calls, but that's my own neurosis and not anything they've actually don't. But the Astros should have been an example of rather than emboldened. Their whole run feels like it shouldn't exist. (and the Mariners should have one of their ALCS appearances instead)
