  1. Well there you go. That didn't end up being very long, did it? I have the memory of a goldfish. Too much stuff happens.
  2. Draymond out indefinitely. Has this ever happened before? I feel like most suspensions come with a number attached to them. "Indefinitely" could be 10 games or 50 games. Who knows? Warriors organization should be fined too. They've allowed this behavior to happen for years. And also the refs who have Draymond special treatment for whatever reason.
  3. Warriors had everything possible go their way in route to four titles, including the cap bump, rolling the KD contract into Wiggins, and some well-time opponent injuries. The rise to the top is just as unprecedented as the fall to the bottom (again), and Klay cooling off and Dray losing his mind should be expected at this point. Dray out for the rest of the season seems the best punishment for him. The Warriors can't and won't control him; the NBA needs to.
  4. It'll be fun when Buffalo gets its Super Bowl in a few years. People who complained about Detroit and Jacksonville will feel silly. Buffalo in February for the Super Bowl is going to be hilarious.
  5. I wanted it to be Penix and after Caleb, the NCAA wanted it to be Penix, but he backed into like his last 4 regular season wins. He finished poorly and Daniels didn't. That's the difference.
  6. Probably one of the many reasons the Lakers didn't want to put up an IST banner to begin with.
  7. We'll see what happens with the IST moving forward. In-season tournaments are pretty awesome in soccer, so adding additional cups/trophies/banners will become more normalized as the tournament continues. Seeing the Lakers (or any team) drink out of the NBA Cup was pretty neat. Yes, it's aping the NHL, but also it's cool to see an early celebration after winning a tournament. The IST has some kinks to work out, but on the whole it's been pretty great. My recommendation is to make the title game count for an extra regular season win. That makes it worth it big time.
  8. The Chiefs did their heel turn last night and people are out for blood. Too bad I can't see replies in the X app. This thread looks like fun:
  9. Who cares about the Cowboys? The NFL's golden boy is big mad and everyone loves it. Leave Josh Allen out of your nonsense. He's been through enough this season.
  10. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/bad-cowboys-news-fans-rip-nfl-over-7-0-philly-referee-eagles-best-player/ar-AA1lgvQE
  11. Your team is 10-2. You're looking for sympathy in the wrong place.
  12. Bills learned they just needed the other team to do something incredibly stupid.
  13. Did defenders punch at the ball as much in like the 90s and before? I feel like DBs punching away at the ball in a receiver or RBs hands is something you see on nearly every possession, but I don't remember it being as much of a thing when I was growing up.
  14. I think everyone wanted it to be Caleb Williams, and when it wasn't it was hard to switch gears to someone else.
  15. Great game tonight! AD showed up big time, and the Lakers were dominant to the first NBA Cup. For people who liked it, it was a lot of fun -- even if the games were visually challenging to watch. The NBA hit on a winning concept. In other news, Pat Bev is never going on NBA TV ever again: https://streamable.com/f6b22p Good question though. He should ask Josh himself next time he plays the Thunder.
  16. Congrats Columbus. All season long it looked like Columbus, Cincinnati, and some rando out of the West had the best shot. The Crew fought to keep their team and they've been rewarded with two titles. That's not bad. Can you imagine, however, a couple of earlier lucky bounces this season with Messi in the final?
  17. I've been posting about the NBA on this website for the better part of a decade+. I wish I had been paid all this time. It would have been a better use of my time.
  18. You're saying that NBA fans are enjoying compelling NBA games at a time of year they normally don't? "this sucks" is a bad conversation anyway. Where are you expecting that to go? Nbacirclejerk may be more up your alley.
  19. I wouldn't be paying as much attention if the Lakers weren't excellint, but they are and it's been a lot of fun. It's weird to say there's an astroturfing campaign though. I don't know what that's about.
  20. The Lakers are finally healthy and they're up 40 on the Pelicans after 3. They might be actually good this season.
  21. I can't take this primary blue and red court seriously. People would like this a whole lot more if they could see it.
  22. The NBA is so lucky the Lakers made it. They're probably the only team Vegas works for in this capacity.
  23. I understand what people are saying about why Alabama is in over FSU. I just think it's stupid and speaks to systemic issues within college football. And is a big part of what I generally don't care unless the team of my childhood (Syracuse) or my grad school (Washington) are playing well. Every year it's the same arguments and every year it's OSU, Alabama, Georgia or LSU getting the benefit of the doubt in one way or another. It starts with early rankings and continues the entirety of the season. If you believe in "tradition" and can work your way backwards from that, NCAAF is for you. If you want the results on the field to dictate the results at the end of the season, the NFL is better.
