  1. I would gladly accept that. Especially during Buffalo's 20-year abyss.
  2. You're right. That seemed off; I just pasted and posted. Maybe it was the 91 49ers? They were +154 and 3rd in the NFC West that year at 10-6.
  3. Turns out it was the 89 49ers at exactly +100: https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/best-point-differential-by-an-nfl-team-who-missed-the-playoffs-in-a-season#:~:text=Best Point Differential By An NFL Team Who,playoff season%2C with a 100-point differential in 1989.
  4. They were premature in burying themselves. They might be the first team with a 150+ point differential that misses the playoffs (I'm making that stat up). But they threw away winnable games that might be hard to dig out of. And because of that, they need help to get into the playoffs while they may be the most talented AFC team. However the season shakes out, I think McDermott needs to go. Blowout win or close loss is not a recipe for long-term success.
  5. I mean, I know I'm a certified football genius. It's just that my company really needs more middle management and I can't leave them hanging. Otherwise I'd for sure be an amazing offensive mastermind in the NFL. I just have a higher purpose.
  6. Tackling a running QB is getting kind of impossible now. Depending on that running QB.
  7. Extended playoff runs catch up to everyone not named Tom Brady.
  8. It's funny. Both the Chiefs and Bills are having down years, but Buffalo's costly mistakes have been way, way more costly. Both teams have been incredibly dumb in pressure situations, but the Chiefs' schedule has been more forgiving and they haven't had the volume of bonehead plays.
  9. For my money, Bears/Browns is the more compelling game, although the Chiefs (likely) pounding the Pats will be fun too. And I guess the Chiefs slipping on a banana peel would be fun too.
  10. MLS leaving the Open Cup is such a shame. I kind of enjoyed the stadium clock stopping at 90. How does it work in Europe and other places?
  11. Well there you go. That didn't end up being very long, did it? I have the memory of a goldfish. Too much stuff happens.
  12. Draymond out indefinitely. Has this ever happened before? I feel like most suspensions come with a number attached to them. "Indefinitely" could be 10 games or 50 games. Who knows? Warriors organization should be fined too. They've allowed this behavior to happen for years. And also the refs who have Draymond special treatment for whatever reason.
  13. Warriors had everything possible go their way in route to four titles, including the cap bump, rolling the KD contract into Wiggins, and some well-time opponent injuries. The rise to the top is just as unprecedented as the fall to the bottom (again), and Klay cooling off and Dray losing his mind should be expected at this point. Dray out for the rest of the season seems the best punishment for him. The Warriors can't and won't control him; the NBA needs to.
  14. It'll be fun when Buffalo gets its Super Bowl in a few years. People who complained about Detroit and Jacksonville will feel silly. Buffalo in February for the Super Bowl is going to be hilarious.
  15. I wanted it to be Penix and after Caleb, the NCAA wanted it to be Penix, but he backed into like his last 4 regular season wins. He finished poorly and Daniels didn't. That's the difference.
  16. Probably one of the many reasons the Lakers didn't want to put up an IST banner to begin with.
  17. We'll see what happens with the IST moving forward. In-season tournaments are pretty awesome in soccer, so adding additional cups/trophies/banners will become more normalized as the tournament continues. Seeing the Lakers (or any team) drink out of the NBA Cup was pretty neat. Yes, it's aping the NHL, but also it's cool to see an early celebration after winning a tournament. The IST has some kinks to work out, but on the whole it's been pretty great. My recommendation is to make the title game count for an extra regular season win. That makes it worth it big time.
  18. The Chiefs did their heel turn last night and people are out for blood. Too bad I can't see replies in the X app. This thread looks like fun:
  19. Who cares about the Cowboys? The NFL's golden boy is big mad and everyone loves it. Leave Josh Allen out of your nonsense. He's been through enough this season.
  20. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/bad-cowboys-news-fans-rip-nfl-over-7-0-philly-referee-eagles-best-player/ar-AA1lgvQE
  21. Your team is 10-2. You're looking for sympathy in the wrong place.
  22. Bills learned they just needed the other team to do something incredibly stupid.
  23. Did defenders punch at the ball as much in like the 90s and before? I feel like DBs punching away at the ball in a receiver or RBs hands is something you see on nearly every possession, but I don't remember it being as much of a thing when I was growing up.
