Uh, no. They're playing for a scholarship (and at many big schools a few other benefits), all the trappings of major college ball, and a chance to reach the NFL to make big money. Yours is a quaint, antiquated and anachronistic notion. Not true now and never was. (If we're talking about the lower college levels, sure. But definitely not Julio Jones and Alabama.) There's also nothing wrong with being in your job for the money, especially one where you could end up with brain damage.

Kobe for a right team, wrong uniform as well.

No worries. (I love those Astros uniforms. So 90s but perfect for that team and stadium.) -

I was referring to Rock and Pudge. Always think of Pudge in the Rangers' red era. -

I've written much more challenging stories, but this one felt surreal to do. http://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/still-passionate-for-hockey-brodeur-ready-to-help-blues/ -

More classic Cubs: Fergie Jenkins This last one is a "right team, wrong uniform" picture. He ended his career back with the Cubs in 1983 during their no belt, pullover phase when they had thickened the circle Cubs logo compared to earlier in his career. -

The NY Giants' white pants aren't good. The helmet and blue jersey are very plain and traditional, while the white pants with red, gray and blue stripes are showy and clash with the other elements.

So, Charlie looked weird when he was a Joiner of some teams early in his career? (Maybe I should be suspended or banned for this.) -

It was boring, generic, derivative and copied their more famous arch rival. Other than that, yeah, this was a great set. -

I know opinions can't be 100 percent right or wrong, but you're 100 percent wrong. This is the worst.

No chance. If he wins three rings with the Bulls and overshadows his time in Miami I will be very surprised. More likely this is Willie Mays on the Mets. And recent doesn't mean wrong. Just a new example. Some night eventually be right, but not all. -

Anybody ever see this Padres prototype?
