For the Atlanta Indians, there's always the Crackers (no relation to the Black Crackers of the Negro Leagues), the minor league team that existed in Atlanta for over 70 seasons. There would also be something deeply funny about a team formerly called the "Indians" changing its name to "Crackers."  Other options are "Colts" and "Windjammers."

New Orleans is awesome. Pelicans works great for a baseball team. Much better fitting than it is for basketball.

This is the same Cardinals → Baltimore premise, but if they changed the name to the Orioles, which would have historical precedence, with the team that eventually became the Yankees.

Per @coco1997, after the Western League became the American League in 1901, the Tigers were rumored to move to Pittsburgh before a new National Agreement was reached in 1903. The Pittsburgh black & gold translates well to a team named the Tigers.

Awesome work. I wonder though, would they take on the Tides name? I'm sure the minor league Tides would still continue to exist. 

I like this concept. Really looking forward to what's ahead. If I could give any feedback on what I've seen here, would be to maybe give a shoulder yoke to Washington's alt, just to set it a bit more apart from their 'clash' uni. Great stuff overall.

I always wondered that if the Norfolk area landed a team (in any sport really), would they use Virginia as a name?  

Not really sure of the dynamics, but I feel it would relate to more of the full metro area (Norfolk/Hampton Roads/Newport News) and even Richmond. 

Awesome stuff as usual.

On a side note, I (bleep)-ing hate the Cardinals, but my god do they have beautiful unis.

I don't mind their current set, but that leaping panther is a far better crest for the front of a jersey.
