New black-alts for Texas A&M to be debuted against Abilene Christian tomorrow
-
Framber Valdez will be the Astros starter for game 6. Valdez prefers the Astros sunday-alt blue with tequila-sunrise armpit jerseys for his starts so the Astros could potentially win the World Series in these.

There already is a U of Dallas, and SMU is private, so won't be UT-Dallas.
Does seem like the phrase has switched from "blackout" to "dark mode".
AND there already is a UT-Dallas
I actually think it's a good idea for SMU to market themselves as "Dallas' CFB team." Yes we all know there are more UT, A&M, OU and other P5 school fans in Dallas. But SMU is the only FBS school that plays in Dallas so might as well do all that you can to claim it. If they rely on only trying to appeal to alumni, they'll never get a fan base going as SMU is a relatively small school for the FBS level (7,000 undergrads)

Yeah, they wanted to make it clear that you didn't necessarily have to be Baptist to enroll there. They do still employ William Lane Craig though.
You don't have to baptist to enroll, you just have to at like a practicing baptist to attend
"Since we are unashamedly a Christian university, all students—regardless of religious background—engage the Bible and core Christian beliefs, and all students are expected to abide by university guidelines, including attendance at spiritual life events and regular chapel services."

Here is the Tulane uniform reveal. I am a sucker for light blue uniforms. I think they look great

Overly large primary logo on the pants are back for Adidas. I do like that the script Aggies has found its way over to basketball

Can we please shoot this trend in the head? It's not 2015 anymore.
On a conciliatory note, I've always thought Marching Willie would be a decent helmet logo. (I'm actually wearing a Marching Willie shirt at this moment.)
ooooo retro logo, COOOOOOL
*squints closer* oh thats not purple, thats black. what a waste

I mean, it's a valid frustration. These are ultimately schemes to sell more merch and add a little extra interest to watching the game. The historical record is not validated by what throwbacks get worn. So going all the way back to the franchise's first year, if said first year was a brief blip in a different city in a time that was so ramshackle that the uniforms weren't even consistent (as this thread has shown) is maybe missing the forest for the trees. Are any Rockets fans really secretly jonesing to wear Sonics merch?
Something I didn't consider is in the past 10-15 years, the Rockets have either done a throwback or reverse retro to every era of uniform they have worn except the San Diego period so I guess it was either time to do it or start repeating yourself by wearing the white versions of previous throwbacks.

The uniform itself is clean and nice. I just wish the rockets could do red and yellow and throw back to the first years in Houston. I get that the franchise started in San Diego but there was nothing historical about it. It was 4 seasons of sub .500 play. Most people don't even know that the Rockets started as a San Diego team. I get that by doing this, more people will now know about it. Maybe I'm just frustrated since so many of the Rockets alt/city connect uniforms were mandarin/lunar new years uniforms to capitalize of their popularity in China so here is another uniform that has zero history or connection to Houston.

This leaves just 2 NFL stadiums without corporate name rights, and both are in the NFC North. Soldier Field and Lambeau Field.
Will likely just be Lambeau once the Bears get their new digs on the Arlington Park property in Arlington Heights. Wonder who will swoop in for those naming rights?Chicago metro has no shortage of locally based national and regional companies that would want to jump in. Hopefully its not crypto related

The arena looks great but having a Moet & Chandon lounge will not help their reputation as being a wine & cheese crowd. I know the venue will host tons of concerts too so its not just for Texas basketball fans
