  1. Agree. Red is not the right color choice in helmet for them. Silver would be great but they're not going to go that way given the Patriots exist. I hope they go with the White concept that was shared last year; essentially the Auburn setup (below). Red is a much better accent color than a primary color, especially with the other color is darker (Navy, Black). On dark uniform, it becomes the "pop".
  2. I'm in Kansas City for the draft and they used these up on the big LED screens on stage as well. Would love to know who the artist is. I thought these were all really well done. Would not want the teams to use these on an ongoing basis but it was a neat way to provide a fresh graphic presentation for this event.
  3. I’m glad he decided not to wear #12, even though Namath offered.
  4. Maybe a minority here but I think the Jags look very good and the redesign has aged well. Another example of a team that should ditch their Black uniform components completely; they look best in Teal/White and White/Teal. Texans have always been pretty bland. I think the upgrade is warranted, though based on what we’ve seen so far with the streetwear vibes, I’m scared :censored:less about what they’re cooking up. Ravens could benefit from a refresh, I do believe. But, these are just my opinions.
  5. I wish I had his abilities technically; the presentation is so good. However, I don’t love this design. Subtracting Gold/Mustard is a miss. The logo and skinny number font aren’t doing it for me. Love the helmet finish, though. As I proposed what feels like months ago now, I’d love to see them being in very subtle Red accents from the eye of the Raven in their current logo. If they didn’t want major changes, they’re truly just a few tweaks - helmet finish, helmet stripes, and new fonts - away from being top notch, assuming they used the Purple pants and White pants only (eliminating Black pants).
  6. Ravens, in my opinion, are the next prime candidate for a redesign, along with the Bills & Eagles, since it sounds like the Broncos, Lions, and Texans are already in the process. Ravens are due.
  7. In my best Luis Carruthers voice: WHERE did you get that uniform template? (and can I get it in .PSD?)
  8. Right…two Navy, Orange and White teams with Navy helmets and Navy facemasks and White & Orange logos. Or, if they’re going through a redesign/rebrand, they could consider going back to their previous colors, Royal & Orange, and be the only team in the league with that identity.
  9. This shows why a timeless classic is always better than what’s on-trend or the start of a new trend (like the 97 Broncos re-brand): The problem with Navy/Orange is that it looks very similar to the Bears. Probably not close enough to matter, but still a reason to consider going back to Royal/Orange: I don’t ever want that Royal jersey or Royal pant, but this colorway was and would again become unique to the league, rather than one shared with another team:
  10. Yeah, but, but…@Cujo said the Cyberhorse has “become a symbol of excellence around the league.” Look, I’m a longtime Chiefs fan, so it’s easy for me to hate on the Broncos and their fanbase…but this statement right here should make it easy for anyone to dog them.
  11. This doesn’t make the Cyberhorse Nike design better from a design standpoint one bit. Emotional/cultural? Okay, I can buy that. But from an objective design standpoint, the Nike redesign has aged horribly, while the previous uniform is still timeless and classic.
  12. Chiefs fan here but also an early 80’s baby - always have a soft spot in my heart for the Jags & Panthers; I think it’s a combination of them both being the first expansion teams I ever saw (I cool and alien experience as a kid), totally rad 90’s colors, and the big cat identities. My fiancée is a few years older, and there’s not a day that goes by that we don’t say to each other, “Can we just go back to the 80’s and 90’s? When I see the Panthers and Jags, I think it takes me back to that time a little bit, and that’s probably something all of us innately feel when thinking about our favorite teams as well.
  13. They could make a lot of fans really happy by introducing Tillman-era Throwbacks…but it’d be worn with that sparkly shell, which would make the whole thing silly. Odds are better, sadly, that they’ll run out a Grey alternate set. I won’t hate it, but I’d have loved some Tillman t-backs.
  14. That Copper alt is very cool. But I still like what was unveiled last night.
  15. That's also a preschool jersey. It's big on the replica: https://www.nflshop.com/arizona-cardinals/mens-arizona-cardinals-kyler-murray-nike-cardinal-vapor-fuse-limited-jersey/t-25264586+p-2733136519612+z-9-3829348406?_ref=p-DLP:m-GRID:i-r0c1:po-1
  16. Considering he mocked up the actual uniforms unveiled last night, it's a given that this account was given access ahead of time, or someone leaked to him, since he was apparently pushing for new uniforms for so long. Definitely didn't just "guess" right.
  17. So you're telling us you hated the Tillman-era uniforms, too?
  18. No disagreement there. I liked the mock-up posted here earlier today where there was a wordmark, but it was a normal 1" embroidered type, not a 3" tall twill type. Given Arizona's uniform history, they would've been fine without a wordmark at all, like they did on the Black & White sets. I think the inconsistency is what hurts this set most.
  19. I used to feel this way, too, and do about most things...but sometimes there is a place for variance, especially if there's history or a story behind it. Otherwise, a design can look too technical. Also, having a pant or jersey WITHOUT a matching stripe allows for easier use of combos. The Cardinals not having stripes on their Red jerseys or pants allows them to wear those components with the other jerseys & pants without having non-matching stripe colors, which, to me, works better.
  20. Agree on points 1 & 2. I really like this redesign, specifically the White & Black sets, and now that I've seen the Red/White and White/Red mock-ups, I think most of us will end up really liking this look once they hit the field and are worn properly. On point #3, I don't think it helped them at all that they put that jersey on 3 of the smallest guys they have, all wearing single digits. They should've had Zaven, DJ, and Cam wear the Red unis last night. The wordmark looks much better on a normal-sized player with 2-digit numbers: It actually looks good on the single digit guys, too - it just looks like trash on Kyler his entire physical look is unappealing. Would've been better had they left it off altogether, but it's not going anywhere, so we best get used to it.
  21. Not so much clever as it is a return to an older design principal. Sometimes we get locked in on "all the stripes have to match" that we also think they need to go on every component of the uniform (helmet, jersey, pants, socks). Classic example of less is more. It's a damn shame the Cardinals didn't have the wherewithal to trot this combination out last night, because it would've been a much bigger hit.
