I could see the Texans having one Light Blue/Red uniform, like how the Chargers have the navy and royal alts in their closet.
-
Honestly it should have been Troy. The Fun Belt is top to bottom the strongest G5 conference, except maybe the Mountain West but they’re not inviting 5-loss Boise.
-
Being in a bar full of Nebraska fans when they added one second back on the clock for Texas was a case of collective PTSD lol Anyways, great final matchup for the four team playoff. The first and the last CFP have been the only ones without an SEC team or a Southern team in general. Pretty rare stuff, fingers crossed we see more of that with 12.

Having the Rose Bowl patch on the jerseys when they already have the graphic on the shoulders was too much. Sad Washington left the gold pants at home.

If Goff doesn’t short arm the throw that final play call was there -
Music-inspired NBA City jerseys (Knicks × A Tribe Called Quest)
Germanshepherd replied to fortunat1's topic in Concepts
Looks really good for a city jersey, but as a fellow fan nothing about it says “Denzel Curry” to me. A black/white color scheme could work for a Ta13oo theme (maybe even with a M1AMI wordmark) or a splash of yellow to pay homage to Imperial. Zuu/Melt Your Eyez have some cool fonts in their covers/alt covers/merch that could also work. -
LOVB no longer unique in that regard. Another win for PVL.

I want to shoutout Kansas vs. UNLV in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl. UNLV in Grey/Red/Grey, Kansas in Blue/White/Blue. No alternate helmet decals either. Both teams in their best combos is a very rare occurrence these days.

If this actually catches on I could see both Lincoln and Omaha having a team. NU/Creighton is a decent rivalry, although its one-sided. After 92,003, I’m fairly confident in saying this is the biggest volleyball fanbase in the country.

PVF inks a deal with CBS Sports. I was expecting ESPN+, so I’m pleasantly surprised with this.

The dark blue part is subtly the shape of Minnesota. That’s actually pretty good.

It's...fine. If they just came out with this from the jump I'd be more enthused. It'd easily be in the upper half of state flag designs. But the fact that they showed us so many better options makes the final product reek of design from committee. Kind of hard to get jazzed up about this, which makes me wonder if it will even pass.

The Heat lost on the Heat Culture courts for the first time. Hey Heat, if you’re the the hardest working, best conditioned, most professional, unselfish, toughest, meanest, nastiest team in the NBA, why did you blow a 17 point lead at home and lose?

LOVB seems to be making more rounds within the club ranks of volleyball, which is huge with the youth. That USA Volleyball partnership could be massive. Although, I do think PVL has more legs at least right now. Most people around here know who the Omaha Supernovas are. I’m super interested to see what the game atmosphere is like. Athletes Unlimited just never had juice. The format always gave placeholder vibes until something better came along.

Nebraska fan here, volleyball is the best (although not today WOOF at that performance). Hate that there’s two competing leagues tho. I guess people are banking on just the general sport of volleyball over associations to specific teams and I don’t think that’s the right call. We can do both.

Well I guess X is being a headcase again https://m.startribune.com/minnesota-final-state-flag-design-north-star/600328485/ Here’s an article with the winning design concept and potential designs. Solid design, especially state flag wise, but easily one of the most boring potential options. If they were gonna go this route they should have just adopted the Lee Harold flag.

It’s weird that Jerryworld has only hosted once and other newer stadiums have already got it twice. -

I hate that but it really does seem where we’re headed, with whatever new domed stadiums arrive getting a one-off here and there. -

LSU’s Jayden Daniels wins the Heisman. Statistically it checks out, but he’s the first Heisman winner I can remember without a notable victory or “Heisman moment”
