Joey Votto, with the wrong uniform (vest with block-style lettering), number, and hairstyle.
The Reds' current uniforms aren't perfect, but I'm so glad they aren't wearing those anymore. They aren't the Cincinnati Blacks.

Before it was wildly overdone by schools nationwide, I thought the Broncos 97 set was really creative and well-designed.
Looking back, it was - and side panels can look good when they are an extension of the pants stripe, as long as they line up neatly. At the time, though, I was crushed (no pun intended) by the departure of their previous set, which was and is one of my all-time favorites.

There's probably a place for piping and side panels on football uniforms. Certainly not for most teams though, and I'm not entirely clear on where that place is, but there probably is one.

I thought about it, but honestly, I can't think of one Vegas gold jersey that works.
Plus, there's this;
Wow, I'd never seen that before. I'd never seen them wear red anything for that matter. Seems like the Golden Hurricane should wear gold, but you're right that Vegas gold doesn't work for jerseys generally - they would need a deeper and richer shade. I'm so sick of Vegas gold.

Of course, the only correct uniform for Warner is this one:
With that uniform I feel like he should have an officer's title.

Sorry for the double-post, but this picture is really kind of amazing when you think about it. Out of the four QBs pictured, two are in the Hall of Fame, a third isn't a HOFer but was a Pro Bowler (and played long enough to win a ring as Drew Brees' backup in New Orleans), and the fourth is a Heisman-winner (although he was a career backup as a pro). Quite a collection of talent there.

Is that Mark Brunell to the left of Favre? If so I'm guessing this was in the '94 preseason. Kurt had several tryouts with GB before landing with the Rams. Also: awesome '90s hat he's wearing.
EDIT: Of course it's 1994; they're wearing the "75" patches.

I think that is mostly the white hair. His face doesn't look that bad, although today someone with that face and brown hair would probably be guessed as older than 39.

Pretty much anything before 2012 is a void in my brain.
This schmuck graduated high school the same year Danny was born. Thanks for reminding me again how elderly I am, Danny.

Yea I do too, though it would have to be reversed you'd figure. Would looke kind of strange with the grizzly facing backwards on the helmet
Well, that would be the left side, and the mirror-image would be on the right.

In terms of career longevity he is looking like the second coming of Birdie Howe.
This right here is why I hate autocorrect.

Somebody should come up with a place to catalog Sports Logos on the Net. I bet they'd be a kajillionaire.

I stand corrected. In retrospect it was a great choice to not have the stadium name on the patch.

I'll bet you it doesn't. I'll be you a lot that it doesn't.
Really? Because it was first called Enron Field on April 7, 2000, and wasn't renamed till 2002, and that picture of Gooden is from 2000.

Doc Gooden, in his lone season (2000) in which he pitched for the Rays and Astros before collecting his second World Series ring with the Yankees, his third total. (He did not, however, play in the World Series against the Mets.)
Haha, I bet that sleeve patch says "Enron Field" on it.

The one about Jagr that jumped out to me was when they showed a flashback clip of him during a game and there were guys without helmets in the clip. I went and looked into it, and there was still a no-helmet player when Jagr was a 7 year NHL veteran
My Jagr story: when I was a kid, I had a sports almanac from 1993. Jagr was mentioned in it as a young star who had just helped Lemieux lead the Penguins to back-to-back Stanley Cups.
Also, he has been both the youngest and the oldest player in the NHL, which is also amazing.
I know a thing or two about Czech longevity - my Bohemia-born great-grandmother lived to 97. Still, Jagr is nuts. In terms of career longevity he is looking like the second coming of Birdie Howe.

Negative. His only season with them was in 2013. He was traded before September when the Phils were 22 games behind the Braves. An extremely forgettable stint.
Oh, wow. For some reason I remember him with Philly but not so much with the Dodgers.

It did, but here is my unpopular opinion:
I don't understand the love for the Bills' old "standing buffalo" logo. The "charging buffalo" they've used for so long looks dynamic and fast. The standing one looks clunky and slow, and they were terrible during the time it was their main logo. The biggest highlight of its time involved one of the biggest douchebags in league history.
