  1. Not sure why, but it sort of reminds me of this meme. The Vermont logo is an upgrade. But could have been much better if it had white eyes and teeth.
  2. My first thought when I was watching the teaser video for "ViceU" I just assumed the Miami Hurricanes were about to do something incredibly stupid. I was relieved to find out it was just FIU. But man these are horrible.
  3. The NFL needs to stand their ground. The rule is that teams can only wear alternates helmets with alternate jerseys. Shouldn't be any exceptions. Do we really want the Cardinals or Commanders wearing a black helmet with red jerseys, Bears orange helmets with navy jerseys, Browns wearing white helmets with brown jerseys, etc? If the Bengals are insistent on wearing white helmets, then either use the old white CR set or make a new alternate.
  4. Yup they are holding a vote, similar to last season to pick the midfield logo. Dog, Elf, Helmet or just stripes like in 2020-21. Personally I voted for the elf since I really liked it last season. I doubt anyone is going to vote for the helmet or stripes.
  5. Looks like the Browns elf logo might not be at midfield next year. https://www.instagram.com/p/CvXo1_jrAem/ I'm guessing they go with the new Dawg Pound logo? or maybe the 1946 football? As someone who literally had a dog in the fight, this one is going to hurt bad. But I'm happy for the person who won. It's a solid logo and much better than some of the other potential options.
  6. I'm surprised they haven't already done that, or made switch hitters swap out their jersey depending on which side of the plate they are batting from.
  7. The Patriots won 6 championships in some of the worst uniforms of all time and thankfully have moved on. If they can switch uniforms, any team can.
  8. 2023 might be the best season for NFL throwbacks in a long time, if not the best season ever.
  9. We had a similar setup when I was in Akron. The branding had already been around for 10 or so years, but it was really locked down. Every team had to use the same custom font for everything. It helped that the base uniforms were built by Adidas, but sent to a local company that added the numbers, names, logos, etc. The school had more control over what was done. Overall the branding went but off the rails until last season, when a xomple overall was done. A new custom font was created and all teams, except football use it. I would assume that was a cost issue. Since that's the largest sport with the most expensive uniforms. I think you nailed it. It all boils down to how much the school and athletic department care about brand consistency. Some schools just don't care or don't think it's worth the extra time and money.
  10. Seahawks throwbacks but with the current colors/logo. Bucs current uniforms but in creamsicle. An orange version of the Browns original color rush uniforms or just orange jersey based on the current set. Eagles current uniforms but in Kelly green and silver. Definitely some interesting possibilities there off the top of my head.
  11. The Commanders and Colts have really gone full 90s NHL with their alternates and helmets. Where the alternate has nothing to do with the primary uniform or any throwback worn in history. The Browns all-brown uniforms to a lesser extent could be included too. Even with color rush, teams would alter a current template with new colors or just use a throwback uniform. These two have been completely out of the left field and feel disjointed with the home/away primaries.
  12. I only wish the Vikings would have gone with a darker purple/glossy helmet. Still a great throwback look.
  13. Yikes that might be even worse than the brown-out color rush uniforms. The two stripe brown pants only really work when paired with the white jerseys, but even then they feel unnecessary. They could wear solid brown pants like from 2008-2014. I always felt that something about that never felt right either though. Never thought I'd see the day when the Browns wore something other than an orange helmet. Yet somehow it still feels like the Browns and feels like it fits with their traditional identity. I might feel differently when I see it on the field, but right now I'm pretty happy with the move. The fact that the Browns are actually getting positive reviews for something is a nice touch too. Not sure this has happened since they brought back the classic uniforms and orange pants.
  14. They match the jersey stripes, so I'm okay with it. I love these even if they aren't historically accurate.
  15. I've already seen a ton of comments mocking them for copying off the Bengals by going with a white helmet. Forget the fact that the Browns existed first and wore white helmets 17 years before the Bengals even existed.
  16. This might be one of the most boring helmet unveilings we'll see. But it makes sense when paired with the throwbacks.
  17. Alternate helmet for alternate helmets sake. I'm firmly pro-alternate helmets. But only if they make sense, like a throwback or a color variation to complete a color rush look. A white Broncos helmet paired with anything other than an all-white look is completely unnecessary and will look terrible.
  18. Agreed these are really good uniforms for the Monsters. But isn't it weird that the primary home/road uniforms don't use the new primary logo on the front, but the alternate does? Seems like that's something that almost never happens in hockey. Especially since I think the roundel is a lot stronger.
  19. Beards and long hair don't add money to their pockets. If there's anything we can all agree on, it's that the Yankees need more money.
  20. Here's the thing about baseball. They desperately needed to do something to appeal to younger crowds. There's 150+ games a year, so why not wear something completely different for a handful of games? The city connect uniforms are a million times better than those super generic players weekend sets we used to get. At least these have some thought and uniqueness to them. Soccer teams have done this for the longest time right? I specifically remember teams doing this and Manchester United wearing pink kits inspired by a newspaper. Eventually the NBA started something similar and baseball is just catching up.
  21. Hey we have a new uniform that is terrible, what should we say? Black: Blackout, stealth, dark mode White: Icy white, ice cold, white out, light mode
  22. I mean it could be worse right? What I don't get is why can't they just use the new uniform template and just switch out the collar to something that works better with the uniform design. Teams have been able to adapt every template so far to account for different designs. Yet for some reason the collars are always untouchable.
  23. This really looks so much better. The shiny screen printed stripes always look cheap and I'll never understand why teams still use them. I know when the Browns went through their 2020 redesign, the equipment manager said it's the team's choice if they'd rather have fabric stripes or printed. For some reason they chose printed when the previous set had sewn in stripes. But he never really gave a reason why. Honestly for an NFL team it just seems lazy.
  24. I really wish the Lakers would do something to clean up that primary logo. It's one of those logos that's been around so long, it's easy to overlook how terrible it actually is. Almost looks like someone live traced it in illustrator. The Wordmark used on the uniforms and secondary L logo are both considerably better. Just base a primary around that style.
  25. The 'Burgh probably would have been a decent option too. PGH definitely seems lazy.
