  1. The Yomiuri Giants revealed new jerseys recently that appear to be on Nike’s new template, & have raglan sleeves, so it appears to at least be a possibility.
  2. It’s also worth pointing out that TCU was not even undefeated, nor were they the conference champion, even with their Heisman candidate quarterback uninjured, so the equivalence between the two teams isn’t even founded.
  3. Oh my, not a "fluke" win in the playoff semifinal... The fact that TCU even competed with Michigan at all showed that they at least deserved to be there, even if Georgia ended up being the most dominant team by the end of it. Why even bother playing the games if wins (in the semifinals, no less!) are "flukes"? If you want to call any game a "fluke," it was Alabama's miraculous 4th and 31 win over Auburn. The offense is definitely not the same without Travis at the helm, but if he's as essential as these narratives are making him out to be, then he ought to be the runaway Heisman winner. And, truthfully, I don't really care if FSU doesn't "look" as good as some of the other teams, they earned their way in by winning every single one of their games and deserved at least a chance to compete.
  4. I place more importance on the "win" part than the "decisively" part, which is something Alabama wasn't able to do in every single game this season (nor was Texas). I just don't understand how an undefeated team isn't even given a shot to keep playing for the championship. That simply makes no sense. I also can't help but notice that you decided not to address the fact that TCU won their semifinal game.
  5. Ta Lo Ten Rings The most pleasant surprise of Phase 4, this Shang-Chi inspired set utilizes colors and fonts inspired by the film's branding. The Cinematic alternate is more directly inspired by Shang-Chi's final costume.
  6. I honestly didn't consider much the practicality of the stones, but if they could light up, I'd agree that that'd be really cool. If not, it'd probably just be a 2D design that showcases a similar effect. Thanks! The "Cinematic" jerseys should generally be closer to that level of uniqueness going forward.

    MLB MULTIVERSE

What I was saying was that the St. Louis Browns wouldn't really be viable at all, because even the road jersey uses the actual "St. Louis" script that the team used to use back in the day.
  8. Yeah, I'm starting to think more and more that any subjective means of determining who gets in, either by a computer or a committee, is bound to have flaws like this. I think it ought to be more clear and direct how you earn your way in, so that you control your own destiny as opposed to it being decided by some distant entity. It should be more aligned with professional sports, where the best record wins your division/conference and gets you into the playoffs. "Wild Cards" seem a bit more difficult to implement in college, just because there is less likelihood for head-to-head matchups, but I suppose they could find a way to make that work too if they really wanted to. I'm just not sure what else Florida State was supposed to do beyond absolutely dominate Florida & Louisville, which seems like a tall ask considering they were on their backup & 3rd-string quarterbacks. But they still found a way to win both of those games, which by all means should earn them at least a shot at the championship, even if Michigan supposedly would've dominated them (which I honestly highly doubt). Do people who say this just choose to ignore that TCU won their semifinal game? They at the very least justified their spot in the playoff, even if Georgia ended up dominating them.
  9. I believe every team is switching to the new template this upcoming season. It'll be intriguing to see how certain designs, such as those with stripes above the edge of the sleeve, like the Orioles and Braves, or teams with pinstripes will adapt to the cuffs of the new template.
  10. It's never gonna happen, but college football desperately needs a drastic realignment to 4 or 8 conferences where the conference championship is quite literally the means by which every team gets a playoff spot. This subjective, "eye test," beauty pagaent stuff is complete nonsense. There should be no reason any undefeated team doesn't even get a chance to compete for the title.

    MLB MULTIVERSE

Thank you! I'm really hoping to get enough pre-orders to make it a reality, along with other future designs. The St. Louis Browns would be unlikely, just because I'm sure MLB still retains the trademarks for that name & those wordmarks. The Bees are a similar situation, but I suppose the Salt Lake Twins could be a possibility, although the jersey couldn't really directly reference the "Twins" name. It would probably have to be the "Salt Lake" alternate, if I did go ahead with it.
  12. Asgard Thunder The color scheme for Thor's team was easily the most difficult of the original 6 Avengers. The Cinematic alternate is inspired by the Bifrost bridge featured in the Thor films.
  13. Titan Titans I tried to make a wordmark as grand as the Mad Titan Thanos himself, inspired by the comic wordmark. The Infinity Stones adorn the left sleeve.
  14. Thanks! I honestly am at the point with the MCU where I'll watch what I'm interested in, but can't possibly keep up with it all. Although, I have seen everything except Ms. Marvel up to this point, which I would like to watch if I can ever find the time. D.C. is definitely one of the most conservative designs of the series. Hopefully future teams can be more "fun." I thought about incorporating hats and pants, but it just didn't seem worth it for me. There's something about this jersey template from @AusGiant that I really like. I might try out some caps & see if I like them though. Thanks! As a side note, that "NY" logo is quite the bastardization of the Brewers' "MB."
  15. Yep, it’s just a matter of whether they’ll try to fit them all in for 2024 or push some of them back to 2025. Hal Steinbrenner also said the Yankees have no plans for a City Connect, so we’ll see if that remains true. If there’s no Yankees & A’s jerseys, that leaves us down to 8 teams remaining, which feels very doable for 2024.

    MLB MULTIVERSE

In very exciting news, just in time for the holiday season, I’m going to start selling real-life versions of some of my MLB MULTIVERSE jersey designs, with the help of Pro Line Mockups! Here’s the link, pre-orders are available until the 22nd! https://www.prolinemockups.com/apparel/p/mdrake-florida Hopefully there will be more designs to come! Recommendations are welcome for future designs as well.
  17. So far for 2024 City Connects we will almost definitely see: Twins Cardinals Phillies I'm curious what other remaining teams we'll see, and if we'll get the rest of them, or push some back to 2025.
  18. D.C. S.H.I.E.L.D. The organization that started it all by assembling the Avengers, I went with a color palette and fonts inspired by their uniforms. The Cinematic jersey doesn't have much special to it, unlike other teams you'll see later in the series.
  19. I didn't have this planned until maybe a couple months ago, but I'm excited to debut my series designing baseball teams inspired by the superheroes of Marvel comics. Although most would agree that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been in a bit of a downturn post-Avengers: Endgame, I'm viewing this series as a celebration of the brand and the heights it has achieved this century. The designs will mostly remain inspired by the MCU, as I admittedly do not have as much knowledge about the comics beyond the movies, but thankfully the MCU is fastly approaching a point where they're able to include all of the important characters in the Marvel canon. Each team will have three main jerseys: home, away, and alternate, and a fourth special design inspired by a specific Marvel movie or TV show. Think of it as the "Cinematic Edition." I'll be going in a random order, much like the MLB MULTIVERSE series. I have 31 teams total, 1 team for each day of December, sort of like an extended advent calendar. Without further ado, let's begin! Asgard Thunder Brooklyn Captains Cairo Knights D.C. S.H.I.E.L.D. Detroit Blades Earth Avengers Harlem Hulks Hell's Kitchen Daredevils Iowa Hawkeyes Los Angeles Marvels Malibu Iron Men Manhattan 4s New Haven Goblins New Orleans Falcons Queens Spiders Sakaar Valkyries San Francisco Ants Siberia Winter Soldiers Skrullos Skrulls Stalingrad Black Widows Ta Lo Ten Rings Talokan Submariners Titan Titans TVA Lokis Wakanda Panthers Vancouver Deadpools Westview Witches Xandar Nova Corps
  20. I feel like the key to the 49ers is deciding whether to incorporate black as an accent color or not. Personally, I lean towards “no,” as I think their unique red & gold color scheme is more than enough to stand on its own. I even think they could afford to drop the black from the helmet logo. However, I wouldn’t blame somebody one bit who wanted to keep the black dropshadows on the numbers and in the logo, as that’s far from a bad look in itself. I would just want the team stick with gold pants almost entirely, and to settle on one look as opposed to having two remarkably similar but yet distinct identities.
  21. Personally, as a lifelong FSU fan & alumni who is now at UF for graduate school (it's a long story), I've always really liked the orange/blue/orange combo for the Gators. It used to be my favorite combo, but much like the Browns' orange pants, a comparison that @kaleb_girod astutely noted, I now think it's best as an occasional special alternate look instead of the primary combo. I also really enjoyed whenever the Gators wore the orange pants with the white jersey going into Doak. Interestingly, the Gators appeared to announce an update the orange pants to match the helmet stripe earlier this summer, but to my knowledge they never wore them this season, nor did they wear the orange jersey. That's a shame, as I agree with @PrimalCookie that the orange elements are useful against teams that primarily wear blue such as Kentucky, just as going all-blue is useful against Tennessee.
  22. Interesting that it’s considered supposedly more “professional” to have your shins covered, but no one does here, not even the ref. I’d personally prioritize the performance and the comfort of the athletes, & high socks don’t really seem to help with that much.
  23. The Texans red helmet looks really great in action. It matches the jersey a lot better than it did in the photos, and the finish is especially nice. I wouldn’t want the head-to-toe “Battle Red” to be their main home combo, but even that doesn’t look bad at all.
  24. I think the Texans are a prime candidate for the triple-mismatch (i.e. different color helmet, jersey, & pants). They could do the red helmet, navy jersey, & white pants at home, and do the white jersey with navy pants on the road. They could even continue the triple-mismatch with the alternate by switching to the navy helmet with the red jersey & white pants.
