  1. Yeah, for a college of Alabama’s stature, it’s weird how many more of their quarterbacks are more like Brodie Croyle than a Joe Namath or Ken Stabler. Coincidentally, Namath and Stabler are the only two QBs in Canton who had more career INTs than TDs. Sure was a different era.
  2. Looking forward to seeing Zach Wilson on some cougar version of The Bachelorette
  3. That’s what I get for being a gambler, I guess Dallas vs. Tennessee Arizona vs. Atlanta Miami vs. New England New Orleans vs. Philadelphia Indianapolis vs. NY Giants Carolina vs. Tampa Bay Denver vs. Kansas City Chicago vs. Detroit Cleveland vs. Washington Jacksonville vs. Houston San Francisco vs. Las Vegas NY Jets vs. Seattle Minnesota vs. Green Bay LA Rams vs. LA Chargers Pittsburgh vs. Baltimore Buffalo vs. Cincinnati
  4. Maybe, but, at the end of the day Tua has to make the decision that’s best for him and whoever else he holds dear. And as much as retreating from the game may be the wise decision, where else is he going to get paid millions of dollars?
  5. They didn't let him do anymore damage in the name of Seattle's higher draft pick. That's the funniest part about all of this. No matter what, this whole season was meaningless for Denver.
  6. I’m a year older than Ronnie Hillman and I can’t imagine the thought that it could be all over right now. Not to mention any surviving family members are probably not able to imagine that it all ended so soon either. There but for the Grace of God go I. RIP
  7. Jacksonville vs NY Jets Buffalo vs Chicago New Orleans vs Cleveland Houston vs Tennessee Seattle vs Kansas City NY Giants vs Minnesota Cincinnati vs New England Detroit vs Carolina Atlanta vs Baltimore Washington vs San Francisco Philadelphia vs Dallas Las Vegas vs Pittsburgh Green Bay vs Miami Denver vs LA Rams Tampa Bay vs Arizona LA Chargers vs Indianapolis
  8. Huh. I was wondering where he was getting the money to make all those bets. Should’ve started a crypto exchange if he wanted to rob people. EDIT: Turns out this guy is a career criminal.
  9. That team and how they’d die for Dan Campbell is really revealing just how much of football is élan versus EPA.
  10. Chiefs win the AFC West. And all it took was a Herculean effort to beat the powerhouse Houston Texans. Yay.
  11. This year was supposed to be a rebuilding/reloading year, but yes, the Chiefs aren’t supposed to be on a game-winning drive in the 4th quarter against the Texans. EDIT: Butker, what the hell are you doing? Going to overtime, against the Texans?
  12. San Francisco vs. Seattle Indianapolis vs. Minnesota Baltimore vs. Cleveland Miami vs. Buffalo Philadelphia vs. Chicago Detroit vs. NY Jets Pittsburgh vs. Carolina Kansas City vs. Houston Atlanta vs. New Orleans Dallas vs. Jacksonville Arizona vs. Denver New England vs. Las Vegas Tennessee vs. LA Chargers Cincinnati vs. Tampa Bay NY Giants vs. Washington LA Rams vs. Green Bay
  13. I can definitely say that it isn’t the Rams’ house and it certainly isn’t the Chargers’ house. That much is certain.
  14. The schedule favors the Chiefs to be the Number 1 seed by the time the dust settles (Bills go to Cincinnati to play the Bengals while the Chiefs finish the year against the Texans, Seahawks, Broncos and Raiders), however, they certainly aren't playing like one right now. Bills and Bengals look to be the better teams in the AFC at the moment.
  15. Football is a brutal game, Amen. It's like this is why I think the players voting to extend the season was foolish. And getting rid of some practice reps. It's funny, the owners always wind up winning in the end. Sucks for Von Miller, though. I have a soft spot for him as the initial number he wore was 58 in honor of Derrick Thomas. Turns out he only changed his number to 40 because other players already had it.
  16. Las Vegas vs. LA Rams Minnesota vs. Detroit Baltimore vs. Pittsburgh Cleveland vs. Cincinnati NY Jets vs. Buffalo Houston vs. Dallas Philadelphia vs. NY Giants Jacksonville vs. Tennessee Kansas City vs. Denver Carolina vs. Seattle Tampa Bay vs. San Francisco Miami vs. LA Chargers New England vs. Arizona
  17. And the funny thing is? Their quarterback the next season was a certain Trent Green who didn't have much experience beforehand. But, his play for an otherwise atrocious Washington impressed Dick Vermeil enough to bring him on as the starting quarterback of the St. Louis Rams for the 1999 season. And then he suffered a season-ending injury in the preseason. Gus Frerotte is Two Degrees Separated From Kurt Warner.
  18. I'm not surprised the Chiefs didn't win at Cincinnati. Bengals just seem to have their number every time they play and I don't have any confidence in that changing until it does. Terrible fumble by Kelce, but those are just the breaks.
  19. Last time the Washington franchise and the Giants tied: Chiefs-Bengals game is as tight as I thought.
  20. Either way, that 12 team playoff can’t come soon enough.
  21. I wish what we had from 1996-2010 would come back. But, no, Texas had to have their own TV Network which was the last straw for Nebraska and Colorado. And that’s when everything fell apart. But beyond all of that, I want my Border War back.
  22. While that much is true, I would counter that by saying that due to the longer season, said players are also more likely to see the field due to the longer season what with the risk of injury going up to the starters in particular. If they can get on the field, their potential for a bigger paycheck goes up quite a bit.
  23. A lot of the players who agreed to it were backups and practice squad players and it was still a close run thing. I don’t blame them for exercising their own interests or really anyone for that matter, I just disagree with it and think it’s bad for the long-term future of the game. Doesn’t make you or anyone a bad person if they want more money because I know damn well I’d do the same thing in their position, I just think it’s shortsighted.
  24. Not Brass, but I just don’t like Thursday night games period regardless if it’s Amazon or an inexplicably wealthy Mom and Pop store who paid for the rights. If anything, I think teams should have their bye before the Thursday night game so they aren’t playing 2 games in 5 days in order to downplay the risk of injury. That and I’d prefer football to be the last part of the weekend instead of happening right before the work week ends. Thanksgiving should be the exception to that IMO but I still think the Lions, Cowboys and whoever else plays should have a bye the Sunday before.
