  1. Seminoles certainly look like they’re back, though. Or is LSU just that undisciplined?
  2. If it will shut up the Central Florida’s of the world then I’m all for it.
  3. For someone named don’t care, you really want people to know how much you care.
  4. Looking forward to seeing the Royals sign Papa Doc then.
  5. I remember when Nebraska was the power in college football and ironically when Scott Frost was quarterback. Oh how the mighty have fallen.
  6. Even if someone was called that, you don’t get to swing a helmet at a person ffs.
  7. It is a civil suit so I expect this “top punter” to settle if he knows what’s good for him.
  8. Even better as far as the man is concerned. Maybe he could rope her into having batters on both sides of the plate at the same time?
  9. Pretty sure that’s called getting to third base. I wonder if someone is going to try for the cycle in the last home game?
  10. Those uniforms look like garbage and they should revert back to the Red[acted]skins uniforms except with the Commanders logo and name. The Wizards did it with the old Bullets uniform so why can’t the Commanders?
  11. Watson makes the NFL look bad off the field. Ridley made it look bad on the field and if the NFL lets that slide, it would lead to more questions about the authenticity of what is happening on the field. So even though the alleged assaulter/rapist gets off easier because despite how disgusting his actions are, it doesn’t effect how people would view the game itself as it is on the field.
  12. The (Gen)X Games are more entertainment to me than a sport.
  13. I see the draft as like an apprenticeship. Before you get paid the big money, you need to put in the work to show that you’re worth that paycheck that you believe you’re worth. Considering that in the NFL’s case, the player’s union voted to cap rookie contracts, it seems the veterans see it the same way. Also, fixing things that aren’t broken should be the second definition of insanity IMHO.
  14. LA is Ground Zero (pun intended) for the kind of people that would flip their lid over a name like the Wildfire. If the market isn’t receptive to a name, it doesn’t matter how cool it might be, don’t use it.
  15. Not really into individual sports and I honestly could not give a flying flip about soccer outside the World Cup or basketball outside of March Madness.
  16. Already got a name for it: NILionaires
  17. And you know? As I get older, I don't really feel like I have the time to invest in fandom like I did as a teenager or a young college student. I don't have time to watch the Royals attempt to play wiffleball anymore. I don't have time to watch Mizzou be mediocre anymore. Hell, I barely have time to watch the Chiefs anymore unless it's a big game. Can't tell you how many times I've fallen asleep watching teams like the Jets or the [Redacted]/Football Team/Commanders play in the past few years and those are games involving my team too. At this point, the only time I'm watching football and the Chiefs aren't involved is usually involving the Bills or Chargers or other teams that are actually a threat to the Chiefs.
  18. Well damn, I remember when he was the local ABC affiliate’s sports guy. I guess he’s about to matriculate to the afterlife.
  19. No, no, no. The Royals seem to be decent as of late but that rough beginning just killed them. If it was up to me, I’d go back to just one wild card. As for what else I don’t miss, I really don’t miss Kemper Arena. Went to a Brigade game in 2006 and I swear I saw bats flying around the rafters.
  20. If you build the projectors, they will come is the idea, I guess
  21. All of the above reasons are why I think a bunch of sportswriters who grew up in New York calling the 50s the Golden Age of Baseball is about as legit as the (at the time) St. Louis based Sporting News calling the Cardinals the Best Fans In Baseball.
