The thing being called Dana White’s Power Slap always made me do a double-take reading the headline. “Oh, Dana White’s Power Slap!”

Why wouldn’t the USFL try another option if every other league who had 8 teams in their own cities/stadiums in the spring fell flat? After all, what is the true definition of insanity? They’re playing the long game. Establish yourself first and then get better deals down the line.

The positive side of playing on Saturday is that Mahomes has an extra day to recover. Who knows how he’ll look come Sunday (hopefully at Arrowhead).

Unrelated to any of this, but I have to say that there is a direct relationship between how upbeat or energetic a rx drug commercial is and how many serious side effects up to death that the drug has. And Mahomes looks like he’s on semisolid footing now.

People are really sleeping on Pacheco if they think Henne starting to play like a backup will actually slow the Chiefs offense down much. But, as they (or @infrared41)say, that’s why they play the game. EDIT: Don’t have to worry about Henne if Mahomes is looking that spry as he did running out of the tunnel. EDIT 2: Aaaand he’s limping again. Maybe Henne should be back in.

Lawrence has a hell of a cannon for an arm. Glad Kirk dropped it but the defense needs to prepare for that.
