  1. Interesting that they don't have any teams west of the Rockies. Makes sense if they are lowering costs to start.
  2. Well.....this is a weird one Three football teams to join LSC as affiliate members - Lone Star Conference
  3. There's also a decent chance they don't make it to kickoff and if they do, they only last a few games.
  4. So both the A's and Rays are close to solving their stadium issues.
  5. They also already have a stadium: It would need expansion of course.
  6. Football schools in the Lone Star Conference: Angelo State (San Angelo, Texas) Eastern New Mexico (Portales, New Mexico) Midwestern State (Wichita Falls, Texas) Texas A&M-Kingsville (Kingsville, Texas) Texas A&M Permian Basin (Odessa, Texas) West Texas A&M (Canyon, Texas a suburb of Amarillo) Western New Mexico (Silver City, New Mexico) All 5 of those schools move up, it will be 27 Division 1 Football Schools in Texas. It might be 28 if UT-Rio Grande Valley gets football up and running, which they plan on doing.
  7. UTA Football isn't happening anytime soon, so Globe Life Park will be used for North Texas SC (FC Dallas' developmental team) and Arlington ISD.
  8. Ring Central Stadium isn't happening. Have to find somewhere else in the Bay Area.
  9. Bowers Stadium in Huntsville, Texas would have to expand to at least 15,000. They are currently at 12,600. I think though that Sam Houston State would want to get to 30,000 in order to host games against FBS schools with large alumni in the area. If they ever play host to Baylor, Houston or Texas Tech, their alumni bases could be big enough that 15,000 would be too small.
  10. Sigh....at Aaron Rodgers. Now Tua and Joe Burrow have confirmed they are vaccinated. If I recall, Tom Brady also said he's been vaccinated too after catching it in April. Others will likely answer "it's a personal matter."
  11. So if OBJ gets cut, is he going to demand his new team that he get 99% of the catches?
  12. at one point they were interested in Texas Southern and Prairie View, but that was unlikely to start with
  13. I see that Washington Football Team Kicker Chris Blewitt is living up to his surname, going 1 of 3 in field goals.
  14. He's been in the league for like 7 years and has played for Denver, Minnesota, Jets and now Saints. He had a pretty good season for Denver in 2016 but regressed in 2017.
  15. The A's are much closer to a stadium solution than the Rays at this point. The year is 2031. At this time, the A's had been in Las Vegas since 2024. Meanwhile the Rays are still playing in the Trop after signing a year-by-year lease after their lease expired in 2027. Their plans to split their season in Montreal has been constantly derailed by the MLBPA not wanting their players to split half a year in each city. At this time, MLB becomes restless and angry because the Rays Stadium situation are the reason they have not expanded to 32 teams and are the only major league without 32 teams as both NBA and MLS have gone to 32 by that time.
  16. Wouldn't Bowers Stadium at Sam Houston State have to expand to at least 15,000 to make the FBS move?
