  1. Huh.....Tampa spent most of the 80's trying to lure Major League Baseball to their city. They finally get one in 1998 and two decades later, that team wants out.
  2. So McNeese State, UNO, Nicholls State, SE Louisiana and NW State are all struggling? I didn't think the Southland was doing that bad.
  3. The Southland Conference has had more success with former Division II schools with Abilene Christian, Incarnate Word and the University of New Orleans. I wonder how many SWAC schools the Southland Conference would take in if that league was to fold?
  4. I don't pay attention to FCS but it looks like that the MEAC may need a new member with Savannah State leaving.
  5. I left Seattle blank because I could not think of a USFL name to use for them.
  6. If the XFL used USFL nicknames: - Dallas Gunslingers - Houston Gamblers - Los Angeles Express - New York Generals - St. Louis Stallions - Tampa Bay Bandits - Washington Federals
  7. They are also getting destroyed in their games.
  8. Jeff Bouchy, the league's #1 supporter recently sold his share of the Jacksonville Sharks. The people over at Arenafan don't think there will be a 2020 season for the NAL and the revived Orlando Predators have not drawn all that well, playing to near empty crowds at the Amalie Center.
  9. The Arena Football League seems to be stable, at least this season, with the additions of Columbus and Atlanta and the IFL is also a bit more stable, with the additions of Tucson, Quad City, San Diego and Bismarck, although that seems shaky. Every other indoor league has lost teams. The CIF lost Bismarck and Quad City to the IFL and The Texas Revolution folded a few weeks ago, 5 weeks into the 2019 season. The AAL lost the Florida Tarpons and High County Grizzlies before the season and the Georgia Doom and New England Bobcats during the season. The NAL lost Lehigh Valley and Maine before the season and also one of the men who was responsible for the NAL, Jeff Bouchy left in March. This doesn't happen in outdoor football.
  10. If the XFL brings back some of the USFL teams, like the Tampa Bay Bandits, those logos would have to be updated.
  11. From what I have heard, if the XFL expands again, it's going to be the Bay Area and Midwest.
  12. https://ballparkdigest.com/2019/05/14/angels-long-beach-ballpark-project-could-top-1-billion/
  13. Not a super league idea, but some fans over at Arenafan are suggesting that the NAL merge with the AAL or even the IFL. They are not optimistic that the NAL will be back in 2020.
  14. So there's a need for 1,000 indoor regional leagues?
  15. Another thing.....I am sure that if one indoor league folds, there will be 100 more announced to take it's place. The ideal scenario is one super Indoor league via a merger of multiple leagues, but that isn't going to ever happen.
  16. His punishment would be if he got fired and somehow ended up in the XFL. I don't know what his exact role is outside of notifying the Hall of Famers of their inductions but that may be it.
  17. And Baker parlayed that "success" (and I use that term loosely) to run the Pro Football Hall of Fame a decade later.
  18. A lot of it has to do with instability. The league has had a history of a bunch of teams folding at once, and even suspended operations in 2009. That's why they are not more popular. Right now it's a niche league owned by two men: Ron Jaworski and Ted Leonsis. They had 4 teams last year and now have added two more teams but who knows how long that's going to last. It also doesn't help that there are another 1,000 indoor leagues as well.
  19. I hope Vince McMahon shows off his senility yet again and names every team the Experience.
  20. Once the Angels solve their stadium situation, it will probably take 50 years before Tampa Bay and Oakland resolve their own stadium issues.
  21. The XFL has yet to name coaches for Houston, New York, St. Louis and LA and have started to name team Presidents for LA, Seattle and DC.
