  1. There's also Jimmy G because I can't see Trey Lance starting in 2022 as long as Jimmy G there. It will be interesting to see who the teams who did not have a 1st round pick draft.
  2. So do Seattle, Carolina, Atlanta and maybe Detroit and New Orleans go for Malik Willis and Matt Corral tomorrow? Or do they call Cleveland and ask for Baker Mayfield?
  3. So Pat McAfee had Aaron Rodgers on his Draft show. Aaron wasn't too upset at the Packers draft (the pick of Devonte Wyatt occurred during his interview) and he mentioned a lot of his favorite Wide Receivers were 2nd and 3rd round picks. He said that he had hoped Devante Adams was going to stay, but said that he wishes Devante the best of luck with the Raiders. Travis Kelce was in attendance on ABC's coverage and was more than thrilled at the two Chiefs draft pick and reacted live to George Karlaftis.

    CFL 2022

So basically, 9 Taysom Hill types.
  5. Pretty much. It will be interesting to see what happens to this upcoming draft class 4 years from now. Either the QB's drafted in round one, Willis, Pickett, Ridder and Corral (maybe even Sam Howell) all become the answers the teams that draft them are looking for or they are in the same position someone like Daniel Jones is now, where there's a new regime and that new regime is hemming and hawing on whether to pick up their 5th year option or be so bad that by year 3 of their NFL careers, they are traded. It will be interesting to see who goes after CJ Stroud and Bryce Young next year if both come out.
  6. So if I am Atlanta, Carolina and Seattle, do I pass on a QB this year in the draft, and go with the guys I have in the hopes to be in line for CJ Stroud or Bryce Young? And do you guys expect other teams like the Giants, Lions, Texans, Eagles and Dolphins to be line for either of them if the guy they have doesn't work? I think the Steelers take a QB and I think somehow, someway they will find a way to finish with 8 or 9 wins.
  7. For those who saw the game last night, what are the thoughts about Michael Robinson as a color commentator?
  8. Probably Bay Area/San Jose Invaders because there would be nowhere for the Invaders to play in Oakland.
  9. Including Jason Garrett
  10. They have an agreement with the NFL in that the XFL becomes a petri dish for the NFL to test proposed rules the NFL are considering in the future, testing of new equipment and tech, and development of referees and coaches. Stopped short of player development though.
  11. Pittsburgh is terrible. It may end up being long seasons for two pro football teams with Pittsburgh as part of their name. The only reason the Steelers might be competitive is due to Mike Tomlin, but we'll see how he does without Big Ben.
  12. While I question the choosing of Birmingham as a hub site (New Orleans would have been better because they at least have a dome there), I see the quality of the games being more like G5 FBS football. The postponement isn't great for the USFL, but it's not a huge setback. The rationale likely from the USFL is "MLB does it all of the time, postponing games due to weather, and reschedule as part of a doubleheader."
  13. Easter Sunday doesn't help a new league like the USFL. NBA, NHL, MLB and MLS can have decent attendance on Easter Sunday as they are already established with decades of awareness in the sports hierarchy.
  14. Easter Sunday is only an excuse for a brand new league like the USFL since attendance has been decent when the established sports leagues (NBA, NHL. MLS and MLB) are all playing today.
  15. The attendance today hasn't been great.
  16. Jason Garrett doing the game for NBC. It remains to be seen how many times he claps during the game.
  17. If Stallions QB J'Mar Smith plays as well as he did tonight, he'll be in an NFL camp by the end of the season.
  18. So MLB is going to do the whole "lets keep Trevor Bauer on administrative leave by extending the leave another week or two without suspending him" spiel for the entire season aren't they?
  19. Las Vegas is interesting because for years they have been one of the go to cities of alternative football (CFL during their failed US expansion, XFL 1.0 and UFL) and for the last two seasons they have sat at the big kids table and are now dipping back into the Alt football pool it seems like.
