In the name of money, they'll absolutely bite.
Understood, but this would take the stadium with the 2nd or 3rd highest capacity (depending on which list you look at) out of the rotation (most likely) due to weather conditions and lack of hotel rooms.

As an Iowa fan these are the perfect Minnesota uniforms. While there are a couple of things in their current set I like/don’t mind, these were basically perfect.
Wisconsin fan. Same, other than anything referring to PJ himself (aka anything to do with Rowing the effing Boat) should be gone.

The Giants had a negative point differential and nobody called them frauds.
Big market media bias?
The Giants were 9-7-1.
The Vikings were 13-4.
A team had NEVER won 13 games and had a negative point differential. This isn't difficult to grasp.
And yes, I know that my team didn't make the playoffs. That doesn't change this.

Does this mean that the one-offs for various holidays are gone? Big if true. How about infrequently worn Negro League tributes/throwbacks - do they count in that total?

This uniform would be an upgrade and it's a great example of how adding subtle Red detailing really adds a nice pop. I know the Nike haters will not agree with how it's implemented here and I understand that, but that's now how it has to be done. Good stuff.I was sorta expecting MORE red - but I don't know how to add it without making things vibrate. Maybe an outline on the number or an additional sleeve stripe with the gold?

It would be nice, but I sense one of them will return. One of them will delay retirement for a year just so that they won't go into Canton at the same time.
You spelled 'because he is due to get $60 million from the Packers' wrong

One challenge with the Ravens is that Purple/Black/Gold are dark & dull. I don't count White as it's a neutral and doesn't really solve the issue, but one way to revitalize the look of this team is to add something that fits the brand, yet pops off while complimenting the core colors. This might be really hard to pull off in a uniform, but it'd be a neat concept to explore if you were a uniform designer:
Add a little Raven Red.
It's technically already a part of their brand, along with Yellow, in the Shield /Maryland Flag logo.
The two shades of Purple would also be an interesting design element to explore in a uniform...if done tastefully.I think you are on a better course using red than another shade of purple. That second purple would either be too lavender or wouldn't offer enough contrast (in my mind).
There's also that red in the eye. Interesting thought!-

Has anyone checked on @Sec19Row53? I want to send my condolences.
All good - thanks for asking. Trying to catch up on all of the stuff I've missed here over the last three plus weeks.
I've spent some time between Christmas and New Year's with my (hopefully) future wife as she's building a new house, and then was in San Antonio on business last week. I saw none of the Packers' win over the Vikings, and very little of the loss to the Lions. We weren't going anywhere in the playoffs, as the 49ers would have boat raced us. I'm in a better place in life knowing that how my teams perform no longer affects my emotionsGo Pack Go

No. I didn't miss your point. I disagree with it. You say that the black socks break up the monochrome (and state that it works well, in the post I originally quoted). I contend that neither black nor pink socks makes this any better.
We won't agree on this, nor do we have to. If they REALLY wanted to break it up, they could just wear the white pants and look better in total. In that case, the sock color matters less.

• Playing devil’s advocate, but Justin Jefferson wearing black socks to break up the all purple look for Minnesota actually works well, IMO
Pink socks would break it up, also.
Also, they too would suck.

A Teal Jaguars helmet would not be a bad thing as it would be entirely unique to the league,
Those two statements are totally unrelated. A helmet that is flat back on the front and metallic gold on the back was also entirely unique, and it sucked.

When your players play hard for you, the floor is higher than when they don't, and he's always been good at using the people he has rather than trying to force a system. Add in ol' grey-dick at quarterback for all those years and it's a guaranteed 7 wins per season.
People are getting weird about Aaron Rodgers too and trying to say he was never that good anyway. I guess it was those fearsome, tenacious defenses that the Packers are so legendary for that had them winning the division like every year.
Real people? Like who?

Okay, I was under the mistaken impression that rookie contracts were only three years. Five years is a long time to be cost-controlled in a league where money flows as freely as it does here.
After the first round, they're only three years. Undrafted free agents are whatever they get, which is why a player is better off being undrafted than selected in the 7th round. They can choose their team based on actual opportunity and not be locked into a set contract.

How is Jackson still on a rookie contract? He's been around for like five or six years now. Aren't term and salary all standard on these?
First round picks have 4-year deals (required). The team can pick up his 5th year "option". Then they're subject to the franchise tag. This is his 5th season.

Him not signing an agent is his fault
Agreed - but the contract that he is currently playing under is his rookie deal. AN agent can't really get much more for him on THAT contract.
NOW he needs an agent. Actually, he needed one at the point that he could begin to re-negotiate.-

Nobody forced him to sign that contract
The NFL did. It's his rookie deal. take it or leave it.
He has no agent, or he'd have a new contract already.-

Putting on football pads and running around at 45? So childish. Grow up and go home to your family, ya freak. Also please eat something with fat in it. Some fat is good fat.
I get a kick out of his white glove. It's like the opposite of Darth Vader.

Just another reason why it is so dumb to have a piece of equipment as your primary logo.
Because two random people ran a poll and said to make it so???

Yeah, but why a football-only conference WITHIN the FBS? It seems odd and unheard of. I wonder what will be next, a basketball-only conference?
In basketball, there only IS D-1. Football D-1 is broken into the Football Bowl Series and the Football Championship Series. Those in FBS compete to play in bowl games. Those in FCS compete to lay in a championship tournament. EVERYONE in D-1 basketball competes to play in "March Madness".

2022 NFL regular season through Super Bowl LVII
in Sports In General

LOL. Just so we're clear, you're talking about the team that has owned the Bears for the last 30 years? The team that beat its biggest division rival, the other team that's been around forever and been relevant (sorry Cardinals), at THEIR house in the NFC Championship game, when if their coach hadn't been too stupid to lollygag down the field on its final possession of the last regular season game instead of trying for a FG or TD which could have knocked their rivals out of the playoffs? Ok, enough of me poking fun at little brother in the division (oops - now I'm done).
Yep, we crapped the bed against the Bucs in 20 and the Giants in 08 in the Conference Title game. I'll take our success over nearly any other team. nobody has more NFL titles than us.
To my actual point - as a season ticket holder, I have the privilege of sitting in my seats for the playoffs. I check a little box each year when I renew my tickets that says 'yep, if we have a home playoff game (or games), I'm paying for those as well. I get that the league will make more money by selling the rights if this happens. I won't be happy about it. Nor will the season ticket holders at nearly any stadium, least of all the one with a seating capacity of 80,000 (all of which are sold to season ticket holders, by the way).
