  1. Thanks. I live in Manayunk, but I'm familiar with Havertown / Delco. I'll try them and the site provided by BRice. Thanks everyone, I new this forum would be able to help me out.
  2. Thanks a lot. I'll give them a call. Maybe I can get just the name plate and have it sewn on. If anyone else has any advice, feel free to post it here or PM me. Thanks.
  3. Hi. I hope someone out there can help me out with this. I apologize for the wordiness of this post. I have an early '90s Seth Joyner authentic kelly green Eagles jersey. This is not a throwback, I actually purchased it in '91 or '92. Authentics at that time did not come with player names on the back, so I had to have the "Joyner" added. When the store did it, they put the name on a twill name plate and the letters were stitched on. Eagles jerseys from that era had letters that were screened onto a mesh (not twill) name plate. The letters were not standard block, they were thinner and sligtly more square at the corners. I can not find a picture to show you, but an observant Eagles fan from that era should know what I'm talking about. Anyway, the inaccurate lettering on my jersey has bothered me for 13 years now, and I want to do something about it. I'd like to get a new name plate made that is made out of the correct materials and lettering style and replace the one that is currently on my jersey. Can anyone provide any advice for me? Specifically, I would like to know what store (or person) can create the name plate. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  4. The black shadow effect on the wordmark and numbers - is it a seperate piece of twill, with white twill stitched on top of it so it is two layers, or one layer with both the black and white? I've yet to see one of the bobcat auth's up close, but this looks pretty darn nice. My only beef is with the italicized numbers (at least on the front.) I think a more plain number would make the wordmark appear more dynamic.
  5. MJW and sj32 seem to both be correct. It seems to me to be a combo of fonts. Off topic.... I really hated those Champion fonts. The Bengals, Falcons and Bills looked so much better once they switched.
  6. didn't the chargers used to have a horse in their logo somehow, or am i imagining things? i know if they did then the horse was hanging out with lightning in some way, shape, or form. I believe a "Charger" is the horse that a knight would ride into battle (don't know 100%, but I think this is the derivation of the nickname.) IMO the horse is actually a more fitting logo for the 'Bolts.
  7. My guess would be that you could find the answer somewhere in this thread...
  8. Doesn't Barry Larkin wear a "C" similiar to the hat "C" on his jersey?
  9. No grass. Will be artificial turf.
  10. I think it's pretty redundant to have the "Nationals" patch on the home shirt and the "DC" patch on the road shirt (actually, DC on both wouldn't be too bad.) Hopefully somebody wises up and switches this before they wear them.
  11. I think somebody needs to sue somebody here .... I saw this store in the mall and for a split second I expected to walk in and view some logo concepts. (j/k about the suing.)
  12. IMHO #4 is a keeper. I just think the neck looks odd on the others. Also, facing left looks better for bird logos IMO.
  13. Not sure about mixing reds. I like your reasoning for it, I just think it would be better with the same red on the beak as in the main part.
  14. Nick, I really like how you used the foot on the helmet. Looks great.
  15. There should be two versions of the sleeve patch. One would have the horse flipped so that it isn't facing the wrong way on the left sleeve.
  16. Nice pics, Survival. My opinion: All socks look better with a white break halfway down. Just looks cleaner. Dark pants and same-color socks look unitard-ish to me and should be avoided. If no alternate color can be used, go with solid white with a stripe. The Redskins white socks have cool stripes and look best with dark pants. The bengals orange socks work with their pants, but need a white break. Just to pick on the Eagles a bit, their black socks with green pants look should be changed. Maybe a grey sock or a white sock with black and green striping or something.
  17. Wouldn't it make more sense if the patches were switched so the "DC" went with the "Nationals" jersey and "Nationals" went with the "Washington" jersey?
  18. where is this guy 'merely expressing opinions' of the uniform? Written after my post.
  19. Unfortunately, probably due to some of the posters as opposed to the actual team. I don't think there is even a trace of homerism in this thread, but as for some of the others...
  20. I think the solid socks look really bush league. Also, I didn't want to start a new thread for this, so I'll mention it here. Did anyone notice how the stripes on Patrick Ramsay's sleeve are screened on (since he doesn't have elastic on his) and most everyone else's stripes are part of the elastic cuff (and much, much thinner?) (I know this pic. was from last year, but you get the point.)
  21. That applies to primary uniforms and logos, not alternates. Didn't the Patriots change up their jerseys 3 straight years once they switched to blue? I think the first year they had red numbers, the second year white numbers, and the third or fourth year they had the huge flying elvis on the shoulders. Also, when the Eagles changed to their current set in 96, they had stripes on their white jersey instead of an eagle head, and then changed it after one year (also changed the cuff color to black.) Does anyone know if tinkering like this is still allowed (since it really isn't a complete overhaul?) If so, there may be hope for the Bengals and Bills yet.
  22. First time I've ever seen Metropolitans on a jersey. Cool idea. I'd suggest trying to match the "Mets" script font that is on their regular jersey. If not matching the font, at least matching the "M". Looks good, though.
  23. Actually, F.U. ate up Wachovia. They just changed their name to Wachovia. Sorry to be off topic.
  24. On this type of concept, the front number would look better above the wordmark, IMO.
