nitroseed
In watching the Heat/Bobcats game the other night, I heard them say that it's a flak jacket. Not sure what he's wearing it for, but it's not just a sleeveless tee. It's apparently helped him, as they said his free throw shooting has improved since he started wearing it. slapshot
I noticed that too. I don't know the reasoning behind college & high school players wearing a t-shirt (sleeveless or not) underneath the game jersey, nor do I know why the NBA doesn't allow it. I suppose it's a better fashion statement that clear plastic face masks.
the admiral
I hated white t-shirts under jerseys in HS, it looks like you're just messing around at the Y.
lucky
Speaking from experience, my high school jerseys were about as scratchy as a burlap sack. It was either t-shirt or the dreaded "chafing of doom"
CC97
I wish the girls' high school/college teams would wear the same jerseys as the guys (no damn-t shirts either), ah good times we could have

robbman21
I know I always wore the tee under my jersey so that the sweat would be absorbed and not show through the other side, and I always cut the sleeves off but back in those days I left a little bit of a cap-sleeve.I see it now and think it looks really dumb.On the other hand as a coach I wont let me players wear sleeves outside their jersey. If they wear a tee underneath it has to be the same color as our jerseys(black, gray,or maroon) and has to have the sleeves completely cut-off.Looks much cleaner that way as opposed to some of the "thugged-out" teams we play. STL FANATIC
I really don't think a sleeveless T looks bad at all, at least not in college. This is a SLEEVELESS T I'm talking about though...a regular T-Shirt...nah. Also, it really needs to be of the same color.I don't think this looks good for Shaq because it's black on white, but if it's a flack whatever, he may not have other color options.
