BaltimoreFan
For the draft I thought I'd run a little challenge for the boards. Each member can predict what they think the first round of the draft will turn out to be. Each pick will be worth the number of points it is (example: #1=1 point, #10=10 points, etc.). Then for 5 bonus points each, Each member can choose any team (preferably your favorite) and predict everyone of their picks (from 2nd round-7th round). There will be a tiebreaker, it will be to select what pick Maurice Clarett will be in the draft (whoever is closest will win incase of a tie). All picks will be locked on April 23rd, 2005 at 11:30 am. You may make as many changes to your picks up until this time. Good LuckEDIT: I might make a sig banner for the winner.

I think he's overrated too, but I don't see him slipping out of the Top 5.My opinion, Rogers and Edwards should go 1-2 but probably won't.
Pat
Theres no way Smith, Merriman, or Johnson drop that far. Also no way Mathias, Miller, or Baas, or Shazor go that high, IMO.
BaltimoreFan
Whoa, I'll fix that. I was thinking of having the Browns draft him, but changed my mind and must of just forgot about him. I'm still trying to do some research, so I'll fix my picks some time next week. Also incase you didn't see I've added a tiebreaker to the rules. Earnest Shazor is not a 1st rounder.....i think if a impact S is not there at 24 the Packers will go somewhere else.Channing Crowder would be nice...and then i gotta hope Charlie Frye is still around at #

Davis, Poole, and Bullocks are all rated higher in my books, for sure.

Pat
Personally I really hope we dont take one QB the entire draft. We need 2 Safetites, 2 Guards, an end, and a linebacker. With all those glaring needs, and possible pickups in a WR, TE, and RB, picking a QB with one of our first picks, especially when we dont know when Bretts hanging it up is stupid.Plus Im a big fan of Craig Nall, he deserves a shot. He looks real good.

The defense needs too much help for us to waste a pick on a QB (Favre could pull a couple more years off).

pcgd
(Favre could pull a couple more years off). This thinking is the reason the bears and packers will soon switch rolls in the NFC north. You guys need a viable back up QB. I know you don't want to believe it, but one day sooner than later, The greatest QB ever will hang them up. And you are telling me Craig Nall is ready to take it over. Ask bears fans how we feel about the "viable backup Dr. Quinn, :censored:ty Quarterkback." Who's third string? Better safe than sorry on QBs. Those other positions are a dime a dozen, a QB is hard to come by. Ask the bears and probably 10 other teams how hard it is to find a starting QB. gosioux76
I thought I read yesterday that Scouts Inc. is reporting the Bears have Mike Williams rated higher than Braylon Edwards. I only bring it up because everybody on here seems to have the Bears picking Edwards -- not that there's anything wrong with that.

I agree, but I doubt that Charlie Frye is our answer for the QB of the future. And Nall is a viable backup. HEs filled in, and done an amzing job. Plus we picked up JT O'Sullivan in the Mackenzie deal, whos a young gunner.Im saying with all of our needs on defense, and on the line we shouldnt be wasting any picks on a QB right now, this year.
