It is suppose to be the Arizona state flag in the background. I don't like the black instead of blue, even if the Cards are dropping blue. That is like the 'Skins using the american flag in their logo and using the colors burgundy, yellow and white instead of red, white and blue. I remember watching Dallas Stars games, and there were people waving Texas state flags in the Stars' colors of black, green and white. There are similar flags for Baylor baseball if you catch the games on ESPN. I think it's a neat idea.I don't want to hijack Pantone's thread, but as a citizen of Eagles Nation, I'd salute a midnight green & silver US flag. Maybe I'll put it together...As for the logo, I (clearly) see nothing wrong with it. The Arizona flag concept is still very obvious. Far more obvious than what they may have been trying with the sleeves on the new jerseys. Griping about changing from blue to black to suit the team's need while maintaining the visual identity is akin to complaining that there's a bird head in place of the copper star.
