Who Covers?

Yes that's right, the game everyone loves to ignore is back for the second week- Who Covers....as in the Spread in some major college football games. Since I was the only one competing last week I won with a 6-4 record. So to make this game a bit more competitive let's get some more people to play- To obsolve your fears- There is NO MONEY involved, this does not constitute gambling- it is for FUN...so let's have some shall we?

Just for explainations sake -

Michigan State (-5) @ Purdue

What this means is the Michigan State is a 5 point favorite, so if you pick Michigan State to cover the spread they must win by 5 or more points. If you pick Purdue they must a) win or b ) lose by less than five points.

Any Questions?

Here are the games and the favorites are in bold:

Michigan State (-5) @ Purdue

South Florida @ Rutgers (-3.5)

Minnesota (-12.5) @ Indiana

Vanderbilt @ Florida (-19)

Wake Forest @ Georgia Tech (-8.5)

Tennessee @ Notre Dame (-9)

Miami @ Virginia Tech (-6.5)

Wisconsin @ Penn State (-11.5)

Illinois @ Ohio State (-33.5)

Texas (-28) @ Baylor

Ok so you get 3 home dogs....the rest are faves...so get to picking:

What do you mean by Homedogs?

home teams who are underdogs- sorry...i figure those are always the games that people will pick the home teams in to cover because generally speaking home teams have more of a chance of covering the spread. thanks for playing...at least i will have one more person to compete with :-)

Okay, I'll play, and even add some parenthetical commentary ...

Michigan State -5 (Purdue is playing out the string)

Rutgers -3½ (not enough respect for the boys from Piscataway)

Indiana +12½ (Hoosiers are garbage, but Minny won't cover)

Vanderbilt +19 (I know everyone's shocked by that pick)

Georgia Tech -8½ (because Vandy beat Wake)

Tennessee +9 (people may be equally shocked by this pick)

Virginia Tech -6½ (this will be an annoying loser if Tech wins this one by 6 in OT)

Wisconsin +11½ (PSU wins, 'sconsin covers)

Ohio State -33½ (OSU could cover this one by the half)

Texas -28 (must run up the score to stay top 2 in BCS)
