This is the first time ive really watched them play all year and ive gotta say im VERY impressed. Theyre just thumping on a Florida State team that has a farly decent offense. Anyone else bummed we didnt get to see these guys vs the Trojans? And not that Texas isnt deserving, but it would have been interesting to see this D vs USC's O

Florida St. had a good defense in this game too...I'm glad I watched it, because what a treat to watch...One of the best football games I've seen in a long time...What a fight this game was...It doesn't get any better than this, unless the Rose Bowl has something better to offer...

Oh my lord. That had to be one of the greatest games I have, or probably will ever see in my entire life. Ive never seen two defenses like that.

great game, and thankfully PSU pulled it out.

What I don't understand about the BCS and these bowl games is how

did #3 end up playing #22?? Ohio state played Notre Dame and

#1 and #2 play tonight so how come Penn state didn't play Ohio state (3 vs. 4)

and so on down the line? Is it a conference thing, the ACC champ must play in the ornage bowl or something, is it invitations? I always thought BCS was

meant for the teams that finish in the top 10, not 22.

Florida State won the ACC so they get an automatic bid. As far as matchups go the BCS only pairs ups 1 versus 2 the rest of the bowls mathcups are picked on what will make the bowl the most money. If a Bowl has a traditional conference tie it they try to keep that.
