Audiodrama
Theo Epstein Returns to the Red SoxThere's the link from the official Red Sox site...it's also being reported on NESN here in Boston. He's coming back in a "full-time baseball operations position." The Red Sox aren't expected to comment more until next week.I'm thrilled.

Cujo
Why didn't Theo just stay in the first place?? We all knew he would return to the Sox eventually, it's just too bad Damon left while he was away. Who knows? Maybe if Theo was around Johnny wouldn't have sold out to the hated Yanks. None the less, this is still great news if you're a BoSox fan.
See Red
Him and Luchino had problems over power. I imagine John Henry got Luchino to back off some.

As for the Johnny Damon situation, he wouldn't be a Red Sox even if Theo was here. Sox made an offer based on what they thought Johnny was worth, and it got beat by a team willing to overpay -- Theo's smart enough to back off, there. Same situation with Varitek. The Sox offered what they thought he was worth, there were better offers, but Tek opted to stay anyway.

Or they can go with someone older to fill the position until Jacoby Ellsbury is ready to go.

Or they can go with someone older to fill the position until Jacoby Ellsbury is ready to go. They'll have David Murphy in Pawtucket this year - and honestly, I don't think Ellsbury will be ready until mid-2007 at earliest. You'll see Murphy before you see Ellsbury. It wouldn't surprise me if they just get a stopgap-type player until Ellsbury arrives. A large cheese pizza, just for me.New England's source for soccer newsAnd hey, I made it to ESPN!
