Tazz013
I just noticed today that Derrick Turnbow has the wrong sleeve patch on his blue uniform. Earlier in the season, his uniform had the correct patch, with the M over the Wisconsin shape, but since July, he's been wearing one that has the road "Milwaukee" patch.Old, correct uniformNew, incorrect uniform Save the slugalo. FiddySicks
OK, this is a stretch, but in the second pic it looks like hes wearing the grey road pants, meaning theyre on the road. You think theres any chance that they accually use two different blue jerseys, one for home, one for road? You think theres any chance that they accually use two different blue jerseys, one for home, one for road? That's the most reasonable explanation, but the Brewers don't do that.To my knowledge, they have only ever had one blue alt at a time since they got their first alternate jersey in 1994. It's the same for home and road.Which is odd, since the "MILWAUKEE" patch shouldn't ever get sewn on a navy jersey.... The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. You think theres any chance that they accually use two different blue jerseys, one for home, one for road? They have just one Blue jersey, but they wear it both at home and on the road. This jersey is one of those "cool base" jerseys, while the other one was a normal jersey, but that doesn't explain the screwup. BBM
This is a little OT, but why don't they put that Milwaukee script on the front of the gray jerseys? It looks pretty swank.
Tazz013
This is a little OT, but why don't they put that Milwaukee script on the front of the gray jerseys? It looks pretty swank. It's because they think that they're "Wisconsin's" team...I've been saying for years that they need some type of a jersey that says "Milwaukee" on the front. They've finally made one, the retro sundays BP unis, but they need something they'll wear in games. Blue, gold, grey, red, I don't care. Save the slugalo. Gothamite
Tazz is right. It's pathetic pandering, as if nobody in the rest of Wisconsin will support them if they have "Milwaukee" on the roads. Plus the have an M on their caps. If they were Wisconsin's team, shouldn't it be a W?
Gothamite
Well, they can't change the name altogether, because "Wisconsin Brewers" doesn't make sense. The whole thing is silly. If they continue to improve, then people throughout Wisconsin will support them, regardless of what they wear on their road jerseys. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. There's still a lot of Cub fans in the south, and probably Twins fans to the north. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
Gothamite
Just to clarify, it's because they want to be a statewide team, not because they think that they are the only team with supporters in the state.
