sean69 Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Why the Ottawa Senators? There not an original six team, so they should not be on the list. Granted they have a nickname of a great hockey team that played in the early 1900's, and won Stanly Cups too. This Ottawa team has done nothing like that...not even close!! Aaaah hockey is right around the corner, this is great!!! Sens suck!!!
Wally1912 Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 According to this, a sweater based on a 1966-1967 design will be used.I think we were all expecting the early 70's look.

If that means that the sweaters will be gold, then I'm even more happy than when I heard the original news. Visit my store on REDBUBBLE

Because it's the last home game of the regular season and they will be given away as part of the annual "Shirts off their Backs" promotion at the end of the game. The B's have traditionally worn their alternate sweaters on this day.
hormone Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 If they choose the black (or white) what's the point? It barely differs from their current set. What they need is a yellow version of the current set as their alt.
Wally1912 Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Well, the big unveiling at Fenway was NOT either of the 66-67 jerseys. The black vintage sweaters from the 67-68 season were on the backs of the players.I'll try to get pictures. By the way, Patrice Bergeron lobbed the first pitch way over the head of the ballgirl, all the way to the backstop.

The league could have put Montreal or another original six team in for the last game of the year in Baston. Is that you say it Baston?
Beantown77 Posted September 10, 2006 Author Posted September 10, 2006 I'd could start an entire thread bitching about how the NHL schedule sucks as far as original six matchups (e.g. no Bruins in Montreal or Toronto on a saturday night), but the schedule is what it is and Ottawa will be in town that day...

A large cheese pizza, just for me.New England's source for soccer newsAnd hey, I made it to ESPN!

JStamper Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 as a long time bruins fan...those uniforms are a dream come true..thank god the real bruins are back!!!!
Wally1912 Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 I used the artwork on NHLUniforms.com to come up with this proposal for how I think the Bruins should look.
