gregchait
is this a surprise move? I know it's t-giving weekend and all, but I am kind of surprised by this... grc
Snowcap30
wasnt this jersey just a jersey for last year???i still think they should keep it, looks good
JQK
And it's their Modern Throwbacks at that...It's nice looking, but their present uniform is one of the tops in sports. So this is one throwback that should stay a throwback... Stay Tuned Sports Podcast
STL FANATIC
I presume it's just part of throwback weekend. Their current ones are nice, but not great. What they really have to do to their currents if they want to make them really nice is close the helmet striping. JQK
No way, that helmet striping looks amazingly good the way it is. Leave it. The same with the whole uniform. They made a mistake by going all white in the first few games of the year, but they stopped that, and they again look amazing, like they have ever since the debut of these uniforms. STL FANATIC
Then they need to seperate the stripes on the jersey and the pants a bit...one or the other...consistancy... JUSTIN STRIEBEL | PORTFOLIO | RESUME | CONTACT
Discrim
wouldn't look right if the striping was changed. if ya want consistency, then the helmet stripe would wind up looking like the one Virginia used in the early 90s. JQK
Then they need to seperate the stripes on the jersey and the pants a bit...one or the other...consistancy...Striping patterns do not have to be the same on the helmet, jersey, and pants. When did that become a rule? Stay Tuned Sports Podcast
STL FANATIC
It's not a rule, but IMO, it's the only way something can look good. The 'skins don't have to just have 2 stripes on the helmet...due to the way the striping works on the various elements, they can have the 3 symetrical ones on the helmet and not pants and jersey, but they should work the same. Wow.....As for the Skins, the helmet works along with the Jersey and pants. It looks so good the way it is. The same with the Colts. Leave the one stripe on the helmet. It looks good, leave it alone. two stripes on that helmet wouldn't look as good as it does now... Striping patterns can be different. M59
Having been a 'Skins fan for way too long, let me just say that these uniforms are a throwback to...NOTHING! It's a mish-mash of different styles and color schemes, all with the current trend of "lets move the TV numbers to the shoulders and stick a logo on the sleeves." The Redskins got rid of the uniforms that truly go with that helmet for two reasons:Lombardi wanted to simulate the Green Bay unis he knew and loved...and the 'Skins uniforms pre-1968 were BORING AND UGLY!Yeesh! ??? Chazberg
Yeah man, striping on uniforms definitely doesn;t have to match. The Bears, Skins, Colts, Bills, and Jaguars prove this, along with many others. Some jerseys just need closed or open stripes to look good, even if in the Bears' case the sleeve stripes don't match the pants stripe. It just wouldn't look good if they changed either one. The Skins unis are one of the tops in the league, I was actually discussing that with my dad today watching the games (and the Pats prevail again). charles-noerenberg.com
Discrim
while i wish the browns would close the striping on their home sleeves, the packers doing likewise wouldn't make sense. case in point, you can see orange on white better than you can see white on yellow. shiznit1083
I don't think every team needs to match striping patterns, there are a few teams that I wouldn't mind seeing it done. I think the Colts helmet would look better with the double stripe.
STL FANATIC
I give some teams passes like the niners and bears (kinda), but some teams could do it so easily that it's dumb that they don't.
